The Republic of Khakassia has many attractions. One of the most popular is the Wild Lake. Photos of this beautiful reservoir reflect the beauty of local landscapes. It was located near the village of Tumanny in the valley of the Buri River. The nearest town is 12 km away - Sorsk. The lake has healing power, surrounded by pristine nature. There are always a lot of tourists here, especially on hot summer days.

A brief description of the lake

Lake Wild is geographically located in the Bograd region. The total area of the water surface is 0.3 km2. In length, the reservoir stretched for almost one kilometer (900 m), and the average width does not exceed 450 m. The depth of the lake is small, up to 7 meters. If you look at the water area from a bird's eye view, you can see that it is oval in shape. The origin of the lake is tectonic, the funnel occurred as a result of a rock break. After that, not only a reservoir appeared here, but also springs. Replenishes its waters at the expense of underground sources and rainfall. Lake Wild is surrounded by mixed forests, which include birch, pine,larches.

Local legends

The indigenous population of these places tells that this reservoir got its name because of its unusual nature. They say that it has a "damn temper" and in the past no one bathed in it because they were afraid of drowning. Even today it is not recommended to swim deep. Of course, there is absolutely nothing mystical in this, and at present it is easily explained. Since the reservoir is saturated with radon, the water has a relaxing effect on the human body. That is why the superstitious inhabitants believed that the "satanic" lake takes away strength and takes it into its depths.

Lake features

As mentioned earlier, Lake Wild (Khakassia) can be used for medicinal purposes, due to the high percentage of radon in the water. In terms of healing properties, it is equated to the Pyatigorsk springs. With the help of water, many diseases associated with the heart, joints, bones, muscles, and skin are treated. The lake has not yet been fully explored, but there are already preliminary conclusions that mud can also be used in medicine.

In the summer, the reservoir warms up to a comfortable temperature, so there are a lot of vacationers on the beaches. However, for those who come to these places for the first time, it is useful to know that radon impurities have a relaxing effect, so it is not recommended to swim too far, as not everyone is able to correctly calculate their strength. You can stay in the water for no more than 10 minutes at a time.

In addition, the employees of these establishments constantly clean the coast of the reservoir, and therefore the nature around is the most beautiful and is not in a deplorable state.

Recreation center "Boomerang"

Quite popular among tourists is Lake Wild (Khakassia). The recreation center, which is located on its shore, is called "Boomerang". It is very close - 5 minutes walk. This camp site is fenced, on its territory there are 2 buildings intended for living. The first is designed for 4 persons, and the second - for 8. For overnight stay they have sofas and beds, and for hygiene - Russian baths. Also in these houses there are separate kitchens with dishes and an oven for cooking, since meals for tourists are not provided here. There is no hot water at the base, and electricity is supplied only in the evening for 2-3 hours.

In addition to the above-mentioned complexes, you can spend the night in your own tents. The advantage of this residenceis the price: entry costs 100 rubles, the term is unlimited. A nice bonus for vacationers with children is the presence of a playground.

Sanatorium "Foggy"

A few kilometers from the Wild Lake, the sanatorium "Tumanny" was built. It was opened in 1989. Specializes in the treatment of radon waters. The main profile is diseases of the respiratory organs, genitourinary system and gynecological. Patients are provided with procedures such as massage, physiotherapy, mud therapy, etc. There are also special rooms for people with disabilities, so the entire sanatorium is equipped with ramps. Four meals a day are included in the price.

You can get to the Wild Lake by several modes of transport. The most common is a private car. The direction should be kept on the city of Sorsk. You can also use the railway transport: trains "Abakan - Moscow" or "Krasnoyarsk - Sayanskaya - Abakan".
