Many cities and regions of Russia can envy the number of parks in Moscow and the Moscow region. These are small corners in the middle of the streets, and huge park areas with attractions and other entertainment. And there are such green areas that are hard to get around in 1 day. And best of all, most parks are free to enter.

Sparrow Bird Park

In this green zone, you can see more than 2 thousand species of birds imported from different parts of our planet. The bird park in the Moscow region also has rare animals on its territory, here you can sit in a cafe and ride a pony, visit an ostrich farm and walk along an ecological path.

The park area is located on the banks of the Istya River. It was opened only in 2005, but already at that time the creators had a collection of birds from our latitudes and exotic ones, which is replenished according totoday.

Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve

Not far from the town of Serpukhovo is the Prioksko-Terrasny park near Moscow, in fact, it is a biosphere reserve. More than 960 species of plants grow on the territory, some of them are listed in the Red Book. Even unique representatives of the flora from the orchid family are found here. But the most unique thing in the reserve is the areas of steppe vegetation, which are surrounded by pine forests. This landscape is also called "Oka flora". The park is home to 56 species of mammals - these are hares, weasels, wild boars, elk, sometimes even wolves appear. And there are more than 140 species of birds. A bison nursery has been operating on the territory since 1948.

Arkhangelskoye Estate Museum

It is hard to imagine the parks of the Moscow region without the Arkhangelskoye estate, located in the Krasnogorsk district, in the village of the same name. The park covers 62.76 hectares. The estate itself is a particularly valuable object of cultural heritage. The palace and park ensemble was created in the 18th century and today is divided into 2 parts. On a paid basis, you can get into the backyard and inspect the estate itself. Apollon's Grove and the Gonzaga Theater are located in the free park area. The two parts of the park are separated by Ilyinsky Highway.

Natasha Park

Natashinsky park near Moscow is located in Lyubertsy. In 2007, local residents had to reclaim the territory, as they tried to build residential buildings here. However, the park isthe only one in the northern part of the city, so the activists managed to defend their point of view.

This is a relatively new "green" corner created in the middle of the 20th century. Although its history begins at the end of the 19th century, when the nobleman Skalsky dug ponds in this place in honor of the 18th birthday of his daughter Natalia, after whom the park area was named. Natalya did not drown herself in any pond, this is all a fictional story. The forest plantations of the park were badly damaged during the Second World War, but they were restored. Now it is a pleasant place to walk.

Park hotels

But the region is famous not only for ordinary parks. Recently, park hotels have appeared in the Moscow region, where you can relax from the bustle of the city.

For example, the Vozdvizhenskoye park-hotel is located 75 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road in the Serpukhov district. This is a territory of 25 hectares in the historical place of a noble estate. On the territory there is a temple of the Ex altation, which is currently being reconstructed. The hotel has 2 hotel buildings with 235 rooms of different categories.
