Flights were carried out in 81 destinations, more than half of which -international flights.
In general, the airport (Samara) worked well. The construction of the Kurumoch airport began in 2013, in July, and ended very quickly - in 2014, on December 24. We already know the culprit of such a fast process. The airport is located 35 kilometers from Samara, from the north of the city, not far from the village of Bereza. Its current name comes from the village of the same name, which is located not far, seven kilometers southwest.

But it is not enough to build it, it is important to ensure the arrival and departure of passengers here. For this, a bus service is provided, for example, route number 652, the main one: “Tolyatti - Airport - Samara”. It takes one hour and 30 minutes from the first city, one hour and 15 minutes from the second. There are also regular flights from the railway and bus stations of Samara.
Bus number 78 runs from the village of Berezy. But it is municipal, so the stop is 200 meters from the airport terminal. In addition, local residents also fairly fill it. Travel time along the route is an average of one hour, but depending on traffic jams, it changes slightly. There are also commercial buses: “Bogdan A092”, minibuses GAZelle and Hyundai County. Disembarkation is made in the same place as at the 78th bus. Aeroexpress is cancelled! Airport (Samara) can be reached 24 hours a day by taxi. But the costtravel, of course, higher - from 500 to 1000 rubles, depending on the time. You also have the opportunity to get by private transport.
Some characteristics of the new airport
The new airport is the most promising in the entire Volga region. The area of the passenger terminal is 42,600 m2, which is four times larger than the previous one. Without stopping the operation of the complex, thanks to special designs, it can be increased to 60,000 m2 on the sides. The organization of passenger traffic inside the terminal allows landing on 12 aircraft at the same time. Twenty-four check-in desks have been established.
The air terminal complex has a total capacity of at least 1,400 people per hour. Now has an updated airport Samara. "Kurumoch" got the opportunity to serve about 3,500,000 passengers a year. Dozens of new infrastructure facilities were built, including: access roads, facilities for the necessary engineering communications, a cargo complex, parking for more than 1,400 places.
Reconstruction of the airport, completion date
The airport (Samara), which is called “Kurumoch”, has two runways, which are located perpendicular to one another and are equipped with the most modern landing systems. Fifty aircraft stands are equipped here.
As part of the project, the following was implemented: light signaling equipment was installed, runways were reinforced with asph alt concrete,taxiways, treatment facilities, a cargo apron, a platform for treating aircraft with a special liquid in winter were built. The complete completion of the reconstruction of the airport is scheduled in two years - in 2017. All related facilities will be completed as well. It is planned to connect Tolyatti and Samara by Aeroexpress trains.
