For a feeling of complete peace, harmony and tranquility, you should go to Japan. To one amazing place where juicy green follows you everywhere.
On the western outskirts of the Japanese city of Kyoto, one of the most beautiful sights of nature in Japan is located, through which a scenic path passes. This miracle was created in the XIV century by the monk Muso Soseki, who was a poet and garden master.
This is the Sagano bamboo grove, a picturesque park with beautiful alleys that attracts crowds of tourists.

Description
Bamboo trees line the groomed paths. This is an impressive picture!

However, not only the picturesque alleys attract here, but also the sounds of the grove, which, in combination with the landscape, give peace. And the melodies are created thanks to the bamboo stalks swaying from the breath of a light breeze. As a result, melodic sounds appear, which resemble wind chimes popular in the East. Many visitors claim that these notes are truly hypnotic.
The area of the grove reaches 16 square meters. km. The entire bamboo grove (photo - in the article) is dotted with footpaths, bordered on both sides by railings made of dried bamboo stalks. Basically, bamboo trees of the Moso species, imported from China, grow here. This variety has a unique feature - they quickly grow taller. In one month, they reach a height of 20 meters with a diameter of up to 20 centimeters.
Very thin and tall trunks of slender bamboo trees, closing up, form a beautiful green tunnel. While walking through the grove, it seems that the environment is exactly the same, but the eyes do not get tired of such a picture at all. The grove is magnificent in any weather, and the "song" of bamboo is especially clearly and brightly heard in the rain.

What else to see?
Besides remarkable and unusual vegetation, the Bamboo Grove of Japan has a pond called Sojen. It is surrounded by mountains and temple buildings.
To see the entire grove, you can use the bike rented here. True, and on foot it is quite easy to do (30 minutes). At the entrance to the grove there are souvenir shops where you can buy any thing (a basket, dishes and many other items that reflect Japanese culture) made of bamboo.
Not far from the forest is the ancient temple of Tenryu-ji (Zen Buddhist), included in the UNESCO list. Neighborhood of temples with Sagano Grovenot by chance. The Japanese believe that the evergreen plant can protect against evil spirits. For this reason, bamboo groves are planted around many temples in Japan.

The forest is very beautiful at night. Lanterns light up here, and the paths due to the shadows of tall trees from the lanterns seem much longer.
Curious information
The history of the forest, which is a protected area, begins in the 14th century, when, by order of the monk Muso Soseki, a beautiful park was laid out in this place. It offers wonderful views of the temples and mountains of Japan.
The Ministry of Environment in the Land of the Rising Sun listed this bamboo grove as one of the country's 100 soundscapes a few years ago. This decision was made in order to encourage local residents to enjoy the music of nature and appreciate the world around them.
The length of the alley, starting from the Nonomiya-jinja temple and passing through the most beautiful places in the forest, is 400 meters.
Conclusion
It should be noted that you cannot walk along the Bamboo Grove itself. The ban is in place to prevent tourists from damaging the stems. You can not, of course, and cut the bamboo. According to the Japanese, it is a kind of amulet against evil spirits, so this tree is often planted near temples.
This fabulous place is very easy to get to. Buses, trams and trains run to it.
