The Imeretinsky Resort traditionally serves as the starting point for most excursions, the route of which runs through the Olympic Village and ends in Krasnaya Polyana. The most comfortable and fastest way to get to these parts is to use the suburban service. Electric trains "Lastochka" regularly arrive from Tuapse and Krasnodar. The Olympic Park station also serves the Abkhaz direction. It is located in the Imereti lowland, which stretches between the waters of the Black Sea and mountain rivers. The national border of Russia runs along the riverbed of Psou.
Care for the environment
Immediately after commissioning, the station received BREEM certification, which confirms its compliance with "green" standards. This is one of the six large passenger facilities of the Russian Railways JSC located in the resort part of Greater Sochi.
It is located on the territory of the Adler municipal district. The Olympic Park station is connected to sports facilities and recreational areas of the region by the M-27 highway. During the influx of tourists next to the passenger terminal there is a public stoptransport.
Throughput and directions
The maximum allowable load at the station is 8,500 people per hour. Far, local and suburban halls can simultaneously accommodate up to 2,500 travelers. Thanks to the thoughtful organization of the exit from the platforms, the accumulation of an excess number of people in the immediate vicinity of the trains is excluded. During construction, the aprons were widened to accommodate additional escalators and roof shells.
Station "Olympic Park" has undergone a number of changes even at the stage of construction, which suggest the possibility of using aprons designed for trains as platforms for receiving suburban trains. The Imeretinsky Kurort Station serves more than 15 pairs of Lastochka electric trains running to Sochi, Tuapse and Krasnaya Polyana.

Olympic Park Station was commissioned in 2014. It was conceived as the main transport hub of the highland region. It was supposed to serve the transit of passengers following to the main sports, ski and resort facilities of the coast.
The architectural concept of the building was created by a team of engineers from Studio 44 and Tekton LLC. Maria Vinogradova, Andrey Krivonosov, Nikita Yavein,Irina Lyashko, Vladimir Turchevsky, Evgenia Kuptsova and other designers. Almost all elements of the structure were erected by NPO Mostovik, which acted as the general contractor.
Olympic Park is a station that has become Sochi's hallmark. A year ago, it was renamed into the "Imeretinsky Resort". At the same time, its former name was left to the station. Today it has four universal platforms serving seven railway tracks. The main exit leads to Caspian Street and sports stadiums.
The train station and railway station "Olympic Park" are designed in a modern high-tech style, which is characterized by the use of an abundance of metal, glass and concrete. Energy savings are ensured by the use of special shading lamellas and windows that help reduce electricity consumption.
