Icmeler is not so noisy, but there is a perfectly clear sea, amazing healing air, which is given by coniferous forests surrounding the town, and many hotels of various price categories. Location

Icmeler is a small town, until recently a former suburb of Marmaris, and now it is completely autonomous. Idas Hotel 4 is located on one of its green and flowery streets, Kayabal Cad. Marmaris, an elite and unusually popular resort, is located 8 km from here. You can get to it by minibuses every 10 minutes, or by boat.

Dalaman (the city where the international airport is located, where planes arrive fromRussia) is located about 96 km from Icmeler. The road takes two hours if you drive along the coast, and a little less if you make your way through less picturesque villages. Further along the highway from Icmeler (about 20 minutes by bus, which are called dolmush here), there is another tourist village - Turunc, famous for its magnificent bays. Not far from the hotel, on the main street of the town, there are many bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, as well as a post office and a bus station, from where buses run to Antalya, Pamukkale and other tourist centers in Turkey.

Hotel Description

Hotel Idas, presented on many sites as a 4-star hotel, consists of one five-story building, surrounded by evergreen shrubs and trees.

Its territory is not very big, all facilities are located compactly, but this does not prevent tourists from enjoying their vacation. They offer a large swimming pool with a children's section, sun loungers and umbrellas, a bar at the hotel and by the pool, two restaurants, a hall for business events, free parking. Guests of the Idas Hotel 3(sometimes presented as a three-star hotel) can visit the hammam, sauna, gym, use the services of masseurs, spend their leisure time playing table tennis, darts and billiards. The hotel reception is open 24/7. Here you can hand over things for washing, exchange currency, book excursions, rent a car. The staff speaks English, Russian is poorly understood or not understood at all. The main contingent is Russians, Europeans, Turks.

Numbers

Hotel Idas offers its guests 85 spacious Standard rooms with an area of 22 sq. m and 8 family two-room apartments with an area of 30 sq. Year of construction of the hotel - 1985th. And although a major overhaul was carried out in 2005, the furniture in the rooms is not new, but solid, the plumbing works, windows and doors open and close. Vacationers here are waiting for a TV with two or three Russian channels, a small refrigerator, air conditioning, telephone, balcony or loggia overlooking the city buildings. In the distance, the wonderful mountains surrounding Icmeler are visible. On the balconies there are sets of summer furniture for 2 people. The hygiene room has a bath with a shower, a toilet, a washbasin, soap and shampoo in dispensers, and toilet paper. There is no carpet on the floor. The walls of the rooms are decorated with paintings. The shower did run out of hot water during the refurbishment, but mostly it's always available.

Cleaning and change of linen in the rooms is scheduled every three days, but during the peak season may be less, depending on the workload of the staff.

Food

As a rule, tours to Hotel Idas are provided on a "full board" basis, so vacationers here receive breakfast, lunch and dinner. All this happens on the principle of a buffet. The menu has many different dishes from baked, stewed and boiled vegetables, spring rolls and without, pastries, fish, chicken, veal, sausages, meatballs, Turkish soups, fruits (depending on the season), mousses, pasta, rice, french fries. Some travelers complaininsufficient variety of food served in Idas Hotel 4. Turkey is a country where they cook a lot and tasty, but each person has his own preferences. For some, food seems bland, for others it is too spicy. The hotel has an a la carte restaurant where you can order meals individually (for a fee). In addition, there are many restaurants on the streets of the city and on the embankment, so it is impossible to stay hungry. Drinks at the hotel are free of charge until 11 pm. Beer, wine, rakia, Russian vodka, cola, water, coffee are on offer.

Beach

Hotel Idas does not have its own beach. However, other hotels do not have them either, since a decree was issued that the entire sea coast belongs to the city. This is formal, but in reality the beach areas are assigned to individual bars, which are located close to one another here. On the beaches, it is allowed to use sun loungers and umbrellas, provided that you buy something in these bars or pay for an equipped place under the Turkish sun. But you can sit on your towel for free without a single problem, fortunately, the beach is sandy with small shell rock. The sea in Icmeler is crystal clear, transparent, like a tear. Entry into the water is quite gentle and comfortable. Right near the shore and at depth, you can observe different living creatures, including biting fish. This fact is especially pleasing to diving enthusiasts. There are always a lot of people on the city beach during the season, but if you go a little further beyond the port, you will be able to conveniently settle down in a less “densely populated” area. The entrance to the sea is good there, but the depthstarts almost immediately. This wild beach is surrounded by majestic mountains covered with pine trees. Moving along the coast in the opposite direction from this wonderful place, you can walk to Marmaris in about an hour. From the hotel to the sea about 7-10 minutes slowly on foot, which will be 700-800 meters. This is called the 2nd line.

Animation

An excellent relaxing holiday awaits tourists at Idas Hotel 4. Marmaris, located nearby, is famous for its noisy parties, nightclubs and enchanting shows. Icmeler also has bars and clubs, but here everything is much more modest. The maximum that can be expected here is the performance of live Turkish music in restaurants, discos in individual hotels, as well as pleasure voyages on yachts. There are also a few noisy bars here, but in general the evenings are calm, and around midnight life generally calms down. There is no animation familiar to tourists in Turkey in Idas Hotel 4. Reviews of most tourists mark this as a definite plus. However, there are other hotels nearby that offer entertainment programs.

Entertainment

Icmeler is an unusually beautiful town, framed by mountains. Their slopes are covered with pines, cedars and other coniferous plants, and orange, tangerine and lemon groves spread at the foot. Flowering trees and needles create an unusual aroma that is felt immediately upon entering the city. The air here is extremely beneficial for he alth, especially for people with lung problems. In some sanatoriums, this is called aerophytotherapy, which vacationers here receive free of charge and in unlimited quantities. You can diversify your leisure time by taking sightseeing tours. Among them are boat trips and the Aegean Islands, trips to Ephesus, Pamukkale, Marmaris, Dalyan. Also, if you have a European visa, a wonderful opportunity opens up to visit Rhodes, which is only 40 minutes away by high-speed ferry. Excursion tours can be purchased either at the hotel or at one of the agencies located on the streets of the town.

Climate features

Icmeler is located in the bay. For some tourists, the sea here resembles a lake, since it is covered by an island from the endless expanses of water. This natural wall, as well as the high ridges surrounding the town, create a special microclimate that allows you to have a great rest in the Idas Hotel not only in summer, but also in the velvet season, as well as in spring. Marmaris is located on a more open area, so the sea is cooler here, and there are quite high waves. And in Icmeler almost always calm. The shallow depth within the beaches makes it possible for the water to warm up perfectly and reach +28+29 degrees in summer, and +25+26 in May, late September. At the same time, the air temperature is quite high, even if there are clouds in the sky or drizzling rain. At the beginning and at the end of the season, the hotel is not crowded with tourists, so the rest is more relaxed, there is a better choice of rooms, there is no rush in the restaurant.

Permits to Idas Hotel (Marmaris, Icmeler) are offered by many travel agencies in Russia and Ukraine. The price depends on the number of persons, the presence of children, the food system, the season and the duration of the holiday. On average, for two adults without children for 7 nights and 8 days, a tour in August 2014 costs from 30 thousand rubles, or 850 dollars. The price is given taking into account the full board. Some agencies have last-minute tours, the cost of which may be slightly lower. In addition, there are flexible discount systems, so everyone who wants to relax in this hotel should contact the operator directly and discuss the cost.

Reviews

Before choosing any hotel, it is useful to read what those who have already rested there write about it. The same applies to the Idas Hotel. Reviews about it characterize it as a quiet budget hotel, suitable for couples of any age who do not need noisy parties and the roar of animation, but who need the sea, an excellent beach, clean air and decent service. The most frequently reported shortcomings of the hotel include:

Ida Village 3 Apart Hotel

For comparisonwe offer information about a three-star hotel in Greece on Crete. Many tour operators do not explain to their clients that there are two Ida Villages there, separated by a fence. Apart Hotel is located a little higher than I&II, on a hill that needs to be overcome. This is the only downside. All vacationers in this hotel note the absolute cleanliness of the rooms, the starched sheets, the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff rushing to help on demand, the perfectly fresh, although not quite diverse food, the wonderful hotel grounds, the delightful sea with attractions located very close by, and low prices. In terms of cost, this hotel is more like a "kopeck piece" than a "three piece". A big plus for budget holidays and for parents with small children is the presence of a kitchen in the rooms, and next to the hotel there is a wonderful supermarket that sells only fresh products, and at a low price. The rooms of Ida Village 3 Apart are simple but comfortable. TVs in them are not in all rooms, air conditioning is paid (7 euros per day), but, according to the guests, it is not really needed, as coolness constantly comes from the sea. Breakfast at the hotel is classic Greek. They consist of cereals, milk, cottage cheese with honey, pastries, sliced sausages and cheese, coffee, juice, fruits. For dinner, dishes of meat, seafood, vegetables with various side dishes are offered. To make it more convenient to relax in this hotel and travel around Crete, "experienced" vacationers are advised to rent a vehicle.
