The relic Chelyabinsk urban forest is located in the west of the city and stretches widely from the north to the northeast of the region. All this is united by one name - the Ice-Park "Emerald" amusement park. Opened in 2013, unfortunately, it is now going through hard times, and many structures are unfinished and are already being destroyed under the influence of natural factors and time.

Pros and cons

The biggest plus is the love and care of the townspeople for the reservoir. Starting from August 2016, the “Clean Coast” campaigns have been held on the banks of the Emerald Quarry in Chelyabinsk. The initiators were public eco-organizations. The event was attended not only by environmental volunteers, but also by local residents and vacationers. During the season, thus, the Emerald reservoir was cleared of three tons of garbage.

Of the minuses, it is worth mentioning the very fact of the appearance of this garbage.

The second significant drawback is the lack of nearby public transport stops. There are good parking lots for cars, but without a personal vehicle you will have to walk.
