For the first time, the Bibirevo metro station was opened just before the New Year, on December 31, in 1992. Today it is the 149th stop of the entire Moscow Metro and is located between the stations "Altufievo"and Otradnoe.

After such a significant historical event as the collapse of the entire USSR, this is perhaps the first transport hub that was built and is still in operation. The rest had to be closed either because of their accident rate, or because of unprofitability.

In principle, it immediately becomes clear that "Bibirevo" is a metro, which is named after the nearby district of the same name.

Earlier, just a few years ago, this was the final stop. Such metro station "Bibirevo" was built initially, but after a while the line was extended. Technically, this was not so difficult to do: a little further than her premises was the so-called congress or dead end, along which the cars turned back. So, of course, he had to be removed.

Moscow has many different stations, both deep and completely superficial. Metro "Bibirevo" was laid at a shallow depth, a little less than ten meters.

Section 2. The history of the station itself and its name

As already mentioned above, this public transport stop was opened as a result of extreme necessity: the residential area gradually increased in size, which means that its residents began to urgently need a carefully thought-out transport interchange. And later, the city administration was also forced to extend the existing line to the north.

The wagon turnaround ramp was removed two years after it appeared, which in principle can serve as an indicator of the rate of growth of the Russian capital.

You can alsoto say that "Bibirevo" is a metro, the name of which does not exactly correspond to the location of the station itself. If you think logically, then purely from a geographical point of view, this stop and Altufievo would need to be swapped.

Section 3. Design Features

When you enter the subway, beautiful columns immediately "rush" into your eyes, which abut against graceful monolithic ceilings. Very beautiful and quite original building.

In general, we can say with confidence that "Bibirevo" is a subway, almost entirely made of white marble. True, in part, at the very bottom and a little above, it was lined with a special look - Ufalei.

The floor is gray with red granite squares in the center.

Many visitors note that the interior elements are very well combined, and the colors are incredibly in harmony with each other.

But that's not all. Once at the station, go a little deeper. There is one more small attraction here: in the turnstile hall there are compositions of such famous artists as A. M. Ladur and D. A. Ladur.

Perhaps, from a technical point of view, "Bibirevo" is not very original. Although the architects note the not very familiar laying of the station. The fact is that it is located at a depth of only ten meters.

By the way, it should be noted that during the design of ground lobbies there were noglass involved.

Most of the day, the stop is fairly deserted. This is due to its location in the so-called residential area of the city. When are the passengers here? It is logical to assume that only in the morning and evening.

At the usual time, when locals don't go to work or return home, the carriages are mostly half empty.

Section 5. Vestibules and Transfers

In total, the station has two lobbies facing different streets for convenience.

The southern exit can lead travelers to such streets as Bibirevskaya, Prishvina and Pleshcheeva. It is also connected with the escalator and platform.

But through the ground lobby you can get to the station itself. It is made in dark colors, the brown roof rests on small cylindrical columns decorated in black.

Section 6. Attractions located on the surface

Russia… Moscow… Metro Bibirevo… Do you know what unites these three places in the best possible way? An abundance of cultural monuments!

As for the attractions of this part of the city, there are three of them:

• Cinema "Hour of Cinema". In total, this institution has four halls, two of which are equipped with 3D technologies. At the same time, 540 people can enjoy the session. Visitors especiallycommend the comfortable chairs that can mold to the shape of the body, as well as the new equipment that delivers incredible viewing pleasure. All films are shown on a huge screen.
• Mars Cinema. Alas, the establishment is currently closed. To be honest, it didn't last very long. Quite soon after the grand opening, it had to be closed due to unprofitability. Now the owners use the building for their own purposes, but there is speculation that it will eventually be rebuilt into a large entertainment complex.
• Historical Museum called "Fatherland". This exposition was built to store various items related to the history of the native land. All visitors can easily get acquainted with each of them. Most often, school-age children and students come here, who are commonly called patriotic youth. The history of this museum is quite interesting. It all started, as is often the case, with ordinary collecting. The teacher of the local school number 139 kept the exhibits in her office. But gradually their number grew, and the place simply ceased to be enough. It was then that the decision was made to open a real museum, which later turned into a well-known local landmark.

Section 7. Ground Infrastructure

Not far from the station, you can find many different kinds of establishments, usually inherent in a residential area of a large city.

Within 800 meters from the station"Bibirevo" is located the university. In the evenings, young people can easily relax in one of the nightclubs.

Several sports clubs and gyms are at the service of lovers of an active lifestyle.

It is not for nothing that housewives and pensioners consider Bibirevo an ideal place to live. There are a lot of shops, boutiques, and markets, including spontaneous ones. Offering everything from groceries to furniture, the mall is open late and almost seven days a week.

Section 8. Useful Information

Perhaps the most important thing every traveler needs to know is the opening hours of the station. Here they are coordinated taking into account the wishes of local residents. Subway lobbies open quite early, at 5:35. However, you should pay attention to the fact that after one in the morning it will no longer be possible to get here.

Now with regard to mobile operators. Only three operators support good communication: these are MTS, Beeline and MegaFon. You can make the necessary call or surf the Internet using a mobile phone with almost no problems, unlike, for example, stations located inside the Garden Ring of the capital. All this is happening not so much due to the installed amplifying equipment, but because of the shallow location of the station.

The area located near the Bibirevo metro station is famous for its excellent interchange for ground transport. Buses to different parts of the microdistrict depart almost around the clock.
