Many of our compatriots are already accustomed to relaxing in Kemer, Marmaris, Tekirov, everyone knows there, everything is familiar there. But there are other interesting places in Turkey, and one of them is Mahmutlar. Although it is considered a city of ancient ruins, it is quite a modern and beautiful resort with a developed infrastructure. The choice of hotels here is quite wide - from chic five-star giants to modest apartments. Galaxy Beach Hotel 4occupies an approximately average position. It has a fairly wide range of services, but at the same time quite reasonable prices, allowing tourists of all categories to enjoy their holidays in Turkey.

Location

The town of Mahmutlar itself administratively belongs to Alanya and is only 8 km away from its center. This is a rather beautiful place, surrounded by the majestic Taurus Mountains on one side, and washed by the Mediterranean Sea on the other. The neighbors of Mahmutlar are the villages of Kargicak and Kestel, which can be reached by public minibuses. The Galaxy Beach Hotel is located incity, but on its outskirts - from the side opposite to Alanya. The center of Mahmutlar is about 2 km from here, or a 20-minute walk along the well-maintained city streets. An excellent asph alt road passes near the hotel, connecting this settlement with Alanya, Antalya and running further along the Mediterranean coast. The nearest airport to the hotel is only 37 km from Alanya, but direct flights from Russia go there only during the peak season, and even then there are only a couple of them. You can get to this air harbor only with a transfer in Istanbul. The bulk of tourists arrive at Antalya Airport, from which the hotel is about 3.5 hours away, or 135 km.

Territory

Galaxy Beach Hotel 4is considered urban, so its territory is not very large and is only 3,750 square meters. High-rise hotel buildings, a parking lot, a swimming pool with a sun terrace, a bar, and a playground for playing darts are conveniently located on this space. Due to the constraint of a chic garden with evergreen vegetation, there is no here, but nevertheless, the hotel territory is decorated with small flower beds, beautifully trimmed shrubs and a few orange trees.

Infrastructure

Galaxy Beach Hotel, justifying its 4 stars, has a pretty good infrastructure. In one of the buildings in a beautifully decorated hall there is a reception where tourists are served around the clock. The staff understands Russian, and many employees speak Russian well. At the reception you can call a taxi, hand over things for washing, pay for the Internet,buy an excursion tour, order a room-service. The currency is not changed here, bank cards are not accepted, although it is stated on the website of this hotel that you can pay with plastic.

In the hall it is easy to choose a corner to rest from the heat, as there are comfortable chairs, tables, and air conditioning. Here, in the lobby, there are several shops with Turkish goods, a billiard room, and a place for playing table tennis.

For business travelers, the hotel offers a conference room with all necessary equipment, designed for 80 participants.

The Galaxy Beach Hotel 4 in its budget fund includes two buildings with 5 floors, in which tourists are accommodated. There are 76 fairly spacious rooms in the main building. There are forty units in the second building. The views from the windows open either on the sea or on city buildings and streets. The windows of the first floors overlook the territory of the hotel. The design of the rooms is simple, no frills. The main range of colors is blue, gray and white. Each room has a spacious balcony which is a big plus.

Cleaning and change of linen, towels at the hotel is carried out according to the schedule, bottled water is not provided, but the minibar has a large selection of drinks (beer, sprite, coca-cola, chips and nuts), however, you need to pay for them to pay. Judging by the reviews, there are conscientious workers, but there are not so much, and therefore the quality of the dishes suffers. Basically, for breakfast, the hotel offers scrambled eggs, fresh sliced vegetables, salads, sausage and cheese, pastries, drinks, cereals, butter, jam (rose jam), milk. Soups (powdered) are served for lunch,vegetable dishes, salads, fresh vegetables in various cuts, chicken (portioned in pieces), fish, side dishes, desserts, fruits. For dinner, the menu includes vegetable and meat dishes, side dishes, vegetables, salads, pastries, desserts.

Galaxy Beach Hotel guests are offered 3 bars - in the lobby, by the pool and on the beach (paid). Drinks are served one per person. To take the second one, you need to queue up again. Local beer, wine, some soft drinks can be taken free of charge at the hotel. The rest are for money. You also have to buy ice cream, but it's cheaper here than in local stores.

Sea

Alanya can offer its guests an excellent line of beaches. Galaxy Beach Hotel is located just 50 meters from the sea, which must be overcome by passing through an equipped tunnel under the road. The beach in this place, as in almost all of Mahmutlar, is pebbly with small admixtures of sand. Sunbeds and umbrellas for hotel guests are freely available and free of charge, mattresses - for money, beach towels are not issued, and it is not allowed to take for this purpose those that are the property of the hotel. The sea on the beach is the cleanest, but entry into it is complicated by numerous boulders. During waves, entry is generally prohibited.

Hotel leisure

Galaxy Beach Hotel for the relaxation of its guests has one swimming pool (for adults) on site. Its depth is 1.6 meters, the dimensions are not very large, but there is always enough space for everyone. There are sunbeds and umbrellas all around. Nearswimming pool during the day and in the evening there is an animation program.

For those who are used to playing sports on vacation, the hotel has a gym, as well as billiard and tennis tables, and there is an equipped volleyball court on the beach.

For those who want to relax and improve their he alth at the same time, the hotel has a spa where you can visit the Turkish steam room, sauna, massage sessions for money.

Animation in the hotel consists of daily and evening programs, as well as delivery to the disco of neighboring hotels.

Leisure outside the hotel

Resting on the sea in this region of Turkey can be associated with some difficulties: Mahmutlar is not located in a closed cozy bay, so winds and waves are not rare here, and the sea is cooler, but it is crystal clear. The rocky coastline can also make swimming difficult. Safety shoes are a must here.

• the rooms have old furniture, plumbing, bedding, mattresses (hard, bumpy), pillows;
• cleaning in the rooms is not of high quality and not daily;
• many rooms have a view from the windows of neighboring city buildings located close enough;
• very expensive internet that also doesn't work well;
• too little choice of dishes in the restaurant, especially meat, tasteless desserts;
• portioned allocation of meat and drinks;
• very long journey from Antalya airport;
• very bad entry into the sea, the stones are such that you can easily hurt your legs, and you can’t swim at all in the waves;
• not very suitable for families with small children - there is no children's furniture, a special menu and, most importantly, a babysitter, which means that it is unlikely to go anywhere or go on an excursion;
• no compliments from hotel.

As you can see, there are more negative points than positive ones, and, judging by the reviews, the hotel is hardly even 3. However, as already mentioned, it is designed for unpretentious tourists. People who are accustomed to relaxing in a big way will rather choosefive-star complex.
