The Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft was designed and used for regional flights over short distances. The rights to manufacture this aircraft were received by Bombrdier, which bought out the shares of Canadair.
Landing and first acquaintance with the salon
Given the fact that the liner is narrow-body, it is able to accommodate a small number of passengers. Seats can be from 40 to 52, depending on the configuration of the cabin. Leather seats, arranged 4 seats in a row, are separated by a small passage. They have a rather impressive distance from the seat in front. This is a big plus for tall people. Interior decoration is made of hypoallergenic, completely safe and environmentally friendly materials.
The airline can order an individual interior color. But in any case, every detail will be done with taste and will appeal to passengers who have chosen this particular flight for their flight. The seat in front has a small pocket containing a detailed diagram of the CRJ-200 aircraft.
The plane does not have a clear location of the toilet, it may vary depending on the configuration of the board. If the shipis designed for 48 passengers, then a buffet is added without fail.
Landing is made on the ejection ramp built into the door. It is located at the front of the aircraft. Rising, you can see the cockpit. For greater safety, each side has an additional emergency exit located in the center section area.
Description of the aircraft CRJ-200
This liner is a modernized version of its predecessor, called the CRJ-100. The difference between the models is not significant. Only the power plant that was installed on the CRJ-200 aircraft has changed.
This narrow body aircraft is used by local airlines. The aircraft has a body of small diameter, which received a large elongation. To achieve the best performance in aerodynamics, the nose is very elongated. The ship itself is designed according to the scheme of a low-wing aircraft with a pair of engines fixed in the tail section.
The outer skin is a load-bearing element, which is typical for semi-monocoque liners.
Single-keel tail received a T-shape. The chassis consists of three pillars, the rear ones are the main ones. It is on them that there are two brake wheels, which are located in the trolley during the flight.
The glass-like wing of the caisson design attracts special attention, has an ultra-modern mechanization of the trailing and leading edges. Aircraft "Bombardier" CRJ-100/200 has always been produced with verticalwingtips.
The main power units are CF-34B1 engines. They were installed only on CRJ-200 aircraft, which set them apart from the older model, which boasts CF-34A1 engines. Their production is carried out by the global giant General Electric. The engines of both liners are located on pylons in the tail section of the hull.
History of the creation of the CRJ-200: aircraft for short distances
Work on the implementation of the idea to create this line of passenger liners began in 1976. Canadair was able to acquire the blueprints for the development of a future production aircraft by purchasing all rights from LearJet. The future Challenger 610E never underwent modernization, due to which it was supposed to add significantly to the length of the fuselage. The new board would accommodate 24 passengers, but he was not destined to make his first flight. The project remained unfinished, and all work on its implementation ceased in 1981. But the idea lived on.
Return of the legend
In 1987, the creation of an elongated aircraft was again talked about, and in the spring of 1989, the construction of Canadair Regional Jet airliners began. Despite the fact that all the work was done by Bombardier, which bought Canadair shares, the names of the aircraft remained unchanged.
In 1991, 3 experimental CRJ-100 aircraft were produced. They managed to demonstrate an incredible result, to achieve the minimum consumption of aviation fuel and the maximum efficiency from powerfulpower units. It was possible to obtain certificates by the end of 1992. At the same time, deliveries of the first batches began. Until August 2006, 938 pieces of equipment were created, which included the CRJ 100/200. There were also contracts for the creation of eight winged machines. One of the best in its class was the CRJ-200 aircraft, which received only positive reviews. Not only engineers were delighted with the regional airliner, but also people who value their own time and travel short distances.
Technologies that were used to create the CRJ-200 gradually became obsolete, and their further production became impossible. To replace the jets built by the Canadian company Bambardier, we had to seriously work on the projects of new turbocharged liners, which became the Q400 NextGen.
Specifications
The length of the liner is 27.7 meters, and the wingspan is just over 21 m. The crew consists of two pilots and two flight attendants. The number of seats for passengers varies from 40 to 52. The maximum take-off weight is 24,000 kg. The optimal flight speed is 810 km/h.
