The city of Sochi has changed almost beyond recognition for the Olympic Games. Now there are many different objects, not only sports, but also cultural and entertainment. Among them, the Sochi-Park amusement park stands out, which will be of interest to both children and adults, especially since it is very easy to get to it.

History of Creation

The project of a huge entertainment complex based on Russian folk tales and scientific achievements was conceived back in 2011. After the decision on the construction was made, its implementation began. The entertainment center was created in the Imeretinskaya lowland of the Adler district. "Sochi-Park" was erected specially on the territory of the Olympic Park near the sea.

The park opened on June 1, 2014, on Children's Day. However, during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi, it was also possible to visit it, which made more than 140 thousand people. Then the park worked only in test mode.

About the park itself

The amusement park "Sochi-Park" is the first such project in Russia. A huge theme park with an area of more than 20 hectarespresents visitors with entertainment for every taste, for which he was nicknamed "Disneyland in Russian".

The entire territory of the complex is divided into 5 parts:

1. "Avenue of Lights" All retail outlets, cafes, restaurants, first-aid posts and other necessary institutions are located here. It is also a venue for events.

2. "The Land of the Bogatyrs". In this part there are various power games, as well as a large hotel "Bogatyr", which is made in the style of a fairy-tale castle. Near it is the "Mirror Palace", designed for events up to 250 people.

3. "Enchanted Forest" This is the place where most of the attractions of the park are concentrated. This area is great for walking, because spruces, palm trees and oaks grow here, and there is also a green labyrinth "Lukomorye".

4. "Ecovillage". In this part you can find some more attractions, pavilions and places for walking.

5. "The Land of Science and Fiction". This is an amazing place that is dedicated to the achievements of domestic science. Also in this part there is a toy library, playgrounds and attractions.

There is a skating rink not far from the entertainment center (in the Sochi Olympic Park), so they did not build it nearby. But they plan to build a dolphinarium, and recognized stars from the existing Sochi dolphinarium will perform there. Its opening should take place in the summer of 2015. Also, a lot of various sculptures dedicated to fairy tales were built here, includinggreen ones, and characters from children's books walk the streets.

Sochi-Park's work schedule is stable: every day it is open for visitors from 11 am to 10 pm. Open seven days a week all year round.

Rides for adults

The amusement park "Sochi-Park" is unique in every respect. So, there are 3 attractions for adults, which have no analogues in Russia yet! These attractions are available for adults and children over 12 years old, but not every adult will dare to ride them.

1. "Firebird". Experience all the delights of free fall from a height of 65 meters! You will definitely have memories of such a rise and fall for a long time.

2. "Quantum leap". This attraction is a slide 58 meters high. If you decide to ride it, then get ready to race at a speed of 105 km / h. This is the fastest slide in Russia.

3. "Dragon". This is one of the longest slides in the country, because its length is 1056 meters, and the height reaches 38. Along the way, the train speeds up to 100 km/h.

Rides for kids

The new amusement park was built primarily for children who have not yet parted with their fabulous dreams, which is why most of the rides were built for them. Children can ride the following rides:

- "Magic flight". Attraction raises cabs and thensimulates a free fall. Designed for children from 8 years old accompanied by parents.

- "Drifter". The cabins of this attraction are designed in the form of racing cars, so they will definitely impress the children. To ride it, the child must be over 6 years old. Please note that only adults are allowed on the attraction.

- "Gems". The swing is 13 meters high and shines in the sun. Designed for children aged 6+.

- Charolette "Pincode". Children over 4 years of age are allowed on this slide, accompanied by adults. Surely the trip will bring pleasure to both.

- "Tea cups". One of the quieter options for children from 4 years old accompanied by adults. Feel like you're in a tea place and swirl around in your cup.

- "Flying ship". He is ready to lift you up and carry you far on his wings. For children from 4 years old with adults.

- "Jolly Pirate". Is your child into pirates? Then he should show what it is if he is over 4 years old. For children with adults.

- "Whirlpool". Kids over 4 years old will swirl in soapy foam! Adults need to be around.

- "Carousel of fairy tales". Attraction for the little ones - from 1 year old, also only with adults. It is painted in the spirit of fairy-tale illustrations by Ivan Bilibin.

Children can also ride children's cars and motorcycles or play arcade games on the arcade machines in the special room.

Events

Events inThe Sochi Olympic Park is often held in Sochi Park, because there is a special area for them. This opportunity is used by various circus, theater or musical groups, so you can watch their performances here.

Most often in the park you can see the magic show "Illusion", watch the performances of street jugglers and acrobats, circus tricks, and listen to the music of the glass harp. Sometimes the park is visited by a circus from Holland or other countries. Usually the cost is immediately included in the single entrance ticket.

Playgrounds

The amusement park "Sochi-Park" is also ideal as a playground for active games for children of all ages. So, there are 2 large playgrounds in the entertainment center.

The first one is called "Space Jungle". It simply boggles the imagination of both adults and children. There are no swings, slides and tunnels here! Also, this playground will help your children test their strength and coordination of movements.

There is also a "Water Playground" in the park. This is a great place to play on hot days in Sochi. All kinds of lakes, rivers, dams and streams made it possible to create a whole water kingdom with boats and crossings.

Experimentarium

One of the highlights of the park is a museum in Sochi called "Experimentarium". It allows children to discover all facets of science. Here you can and even need to touch the exhibits, you can check the laws of physics and chemistry in action.

The museum has a compartment,dedicated to music, optics, electricity and mechanics. Also, visitors are waiting for funny puzzles, which are so interesting to deal with! Solve the laws of science yourself, because it will be remembered by children for a long time.

Prices

Surely now all the children of the country dream of getting to the Sochi Olympic Park. Prices for all entertainment and attractions are quite reasonable, so if you find yourself in this city, be sure to take your children there.

A single ticket is valid on the territory of the park, which must be bought at the entrance. It gives visitors the right to ride all the rides an unlimited number of times and stay in the park for at least a whole day. After the construction of the dolphinarium is completed, its visit will also be included in the price. The only thing not included in the ticket is food and souvenirs.

Here are the ticket prices for 2015:

- adults - 1350 rubles, - children 5-12 years old - 1080 rubles, - children 0-5 years old, pensioners over 70 years old, as well as children 5-12 years old on their birthday - free of charge.

Also, in the amusement park in Sochi, there are benefits for the disabled, combatants, pensioners and large families - a ticket for them will cost 1200 rubles.

Reviews

Basically, all visitors, both with children and without, are completely delighted after visiting. In particular, there are many benches in the park and even ottomans, so it’s simply impossible to get tired there. Also, visitors found a huge plus in the fact that you can, for example, come to the park within the morning, then leave it for an afternoon nap and re-enter using the same tickets.

The only downside noted by visitors to the park is the high cost of food and the price of tickets, but the food issue can be easily resolved - just grab something to eat with you or take a walk and look for cheaper cafes outside the complex.

According to visitors, sometimes there are queues for attractions, but this is quite normal for such a complex.

Many people talk about the incompleteness of the work, because they happened in 2014, when not all parts of the park were still functioning. Now that everything is working, going there is a pleasure!
