Gremyachiy Waterfall is a unique natural monument, which is a state reserve and has regional significance. They say that it is the only waterfall in the Moscow region, but this is an erroneous opinion. In fact, Gremyachiy is not a waterfall, but a spring that flows from a crevice in the slope of the Lyapinka River from a height of 25 meters. It is located on the right bank of the Vondiga River, which flows from Torbeev Lake, located near the village of Lyapino. At a distance of 14 kilometers southeast of Sergiev Posad and 57 kilometers from Moscow, there is a waterfall. Rise of the Source
Tradition says that the Gremyachiy waterfall arose after the prayer of St. Sergius, who stopped here on the way from the Trinity to the Makhrishchensky monastery. Doctors recommend drinking it in small amounts as a medicinal treatment.
It is said that the right spring cures heart diseases, the middle one - head diseases, and the left one - women's ailments. It is believed that if the patient is sprinkled with water from a spring, he will immediately feel better, and then completely cured. According to popular rumor, the Gremyachiy waterfall is one of the most miraculous springs. This is a popular place of pilgrimage and a well-known tourist site, which gathers a large number of believers and tourists around it all year round.
Arrangement of a spring
A memorial sign has been erected near the waterfall. A wooden staircase is laid to the spring, on which there are several recreation areas. Near the waterfall there is a parking lot, a font, a shower room, a delightful wooden temple and a chapel. The bath consists of an open reservoir and an enclosed space.
