Kinzelyuk waterfall. How to get from Krasnoyarsk?

In the mid-40s of the last century, two expeditions to the Kinzelyuk Ridge were carried out by biologist A. A. Fedorov and surveyor G. A. Fedoseeva,who were able to get to the waterfall using pack horses. Their scientific expeditions lasted three weeks.

But since 2012, a trip to the Kinzelyuk waterfall can be carried out in more comfortable conditions and much faster. Thus, LLC "Sayanych" provides an opportunity to relax at the "Summer Agul" base with a tour of the Kinzelyuk waterfall and the surrounding area. The duration of the rest is two weeks from June to August. Vacationers themselves can choose the way to travel from Krasnoyarsk to the recreation center: either by water transport or by helicopter.

There are other ways to see the Kinzelyuk waterfall. For example, you can take a bus from Krasnoyarsk to the village of Stepanovka, which is located in the Irbeysky district. Travel time is four hours. Next, transfer to a GAZ-66 car and get from the village along Belogorye to the recreation center. This segment of the journey will take another 5-6 hours. In the camp, located on the banks of the Angul River, after a short rest, they will be instructed and prepared for departure to the Central Sayan by water transport.

While preparations are underway for further travel, you can go to the bathhouse, go fishing. Vacationers live in comfortable houses with amenities. The cost of the ticket includes dry rations and hot lunches throughout the entire route of the tour. Excursion groups are supplied with certain equipment: backpacks, tents, flashlights, gas burners, sleeping bags, as well as waders, fishing rods and tackle.

After rest and preparation, together with experienced instructors, the first group moves to the waterfall along the route "Angul River - Maly Tagul - Orzagay - waterfall" on a motorized transport. The entire journey consists of 140 km of water and 7 km of walking. Upon arrival at the waterfall, you can also walk to the Kusurgasheva glacier or to the Bear Lake. Travel time depends on the desire of the group and can be from three to fifteen days. The return trip follows the same route that we used to get to the waterfall.

Some vacationers, if they wish, can get back to the recreation center by rafting on a catamaran.

A hike to the Kinzelyuk waterfall is not the whole program for the rest. In addition to excursions to protected places, the program includes making a high-quality video about all the moments of the trip, with interviews from each participant. Before leaving home, each vacationer is given a disc with a recording of this video.

The price of a ticket for one person is from 32-50 thousand rubles, depending on which transport, air or water, to get to the destination. For children and teenagers from 12 to 15 years old, there is a 50% discount when taking into account that they are accompanied by a parent.

After a few days, the camp collapses, and the group returns to the base the same way they came.

Advantages and disadvantages of air excursions

You can get to the waterfall much faster and more convenient than going on foot or on motor boats. It is possible to immediately fly by helicopter to the Ridge Lake, where the transshipment tent base is located, from which the ascent to the waterfall and other places begins. Also, by air transport, you can safely transfer all the necessary things to the place of directclimbing. This saves time and effort that is spent on hiking and water trips.

However, when crossing on motorboats, you can get an unforgettable experience of passing through the rapids. On the way, tourists often stop for fishing, set up camp, fry fish under the stars, sing songs and live for several days in the open air in the midst of pristine nature.
