Kamchatka is actively building and reconstructing ski resorts. The regional government is attracting investors from different countries to make the region a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.
The season is here almost all year round, on the tops of mountains and volcanoes, snow lies in the summer. Snowstorms in February and March may be the only problem for skiers.
The ski resorts of Kamchatka attract fans of extreme skiing - freeride and heli-skiing.
Freeride - skiing or snowboarding on virgin soil, and not on paved tracks.
Heli-skiing is a type of skiing when an athlete is taken to the top of a mountain by a helicopter, and he descends down himself (there is also no track).
On Kamchatka, ski resorts are not the only entertainment. Here you can fish, hunt, admire the scenery, get acquainted with the life of the local population.
When going to a resort, you need to take into account that some bases of the region are located in the border zone, others are intended only for athletes or are open totourists not every day. For example, everyone can get to the Krasnaya Sopka only from Friday to Sunday.
Prices in the ski resorts of Kamchatka are several times lower than in Europe. An inexpensive tour for a week with accommodation (breakfast may be included) and a pass to the track costs 50-70 thousand rubles. The flight is paid separately.
"Moroznaya Mountain" - training center for the Olympic team
The base "Moroznaya Mountain" has become a popular ski resort in Kamchatka, primarily because the Russian team has been training on its slopes for more than a decade before the Olympic Games.
