The great battle, heroism, strength, patriotism and great courage helped the Soviet people to cope with the enemy. The fighting was not easy, many innocent children, fathers, mothers, young girls with children died. They died for the future of their heirs and the country. Even if they vomited from the inside, and the question “why?” was always tormented, but still some kind of force forced them to rise and move on.

The open area of destruction was inconspicuous small towns that opened up a large range for military operations. The battle at a nameless height became an indicator that the Soviet army did not give up under any circumstances, a good result and victory was the main guideline. Unfortunately, not as much is said about this event as, for example, about Stalingrad, and this is completely wrong. This fight deserves to be studied in the school curriculum, as it is one of the most demonstrative, demonstrating what patriotism is.

Combat Boiling Point

September 1943. The Oryol-Kulikovskaya battle was coming to an end, and the Soviet troops actively launched an offensive along the entire Western Front. The Germans were indignant and actively providedresistance. In parallel with the occupation of these lands, information reached them that there was a secret "flying territory" - an unnamed height.

The interest of the opponents began to play with furious force, because in the case of occupying the height, it would be possible to capture the western territories of Russia from the sky.

And then the question arose of where the nameless height is. Approximately 17 kilometers from Roslavl, Smolensk region, a distinctly fortified zone was discovered. It occupied a very important strategic position and was considered a secret facility.

For two days the Soviet army recaptured it from the Germans. Of the 18 guys who went into battle, only two survived.

The Germans were initially confused, rushing about the trenches and dug trenches, but in the end stubbornly began to take the nameless height. After that, our soldiers still had the opportunity to distract the enemy - the case helped them manage to remove the occupier from their territory.

Stay alive

One of the survivors was simply dug out of the ground. The brethren found him by sticking out his boots, felt his pulse and immediately began to pull him out. Evgeny Lapin turned out to be a Soviet hero.

After a long period of treatment and rehabilitation, he returned to his military unit. In a short time, he managed to get a few more combat wounds, learn and reach Berlin. After the end of the war, he returned to the city of Donetsk, but was soon evacuated from there with his family.

A completely different story happened to the second surviving hero - Vlasov Konstantin Nikolaevich. He was already listed as dead, and his family even received a death warrant.

In fact, he was taken prisoner by the Germans, then a prison and a concentration camp in Germany. But he managed to escape with his compatriots. In 1944, he was seriously wounded, but survived.

A trip to the past

The Nameless Height monument was erected in October 1966 by Soviet architect Leonid Kopylovsky. The memorial was part of the Green Belt of Glory - a complex of structures on the borders of the battles for Leningrad at the beginning of the war period.

Fresh air, peaceful spirit and this nameless height… The Kaluga region has preserved in its memory something that will never be forgotten. The barbaric methods of attack and recapture of territories from German enemies opened a window to the Soviet citizen into a world of fear and indignation - no one knew what would happen next.

The exploits of Konstantin Vlasov and Yevgeny Lapin aroused the duty of the citizens of Russia to honor the memory of the heroes. In honor of this, a whole memorial complex "Nameless Height" was opened.

Exhibition of Times

In addition to the monument, a museum was also created in honor of the heroic deed of eighteen soldiers. He tells the story of the liberation from the fascist invaders of the Kaluga region. The exposition of the museum is very diverse: from ammunition found during excavations of military equipment, to music sheets on which V. E. Basner's song "At a Nameless Height" was written.

The territory is quite large, fascinating stories fromwar times will take you to the past.

Entrance is free, tours are also free, so anyone can honor the memory of the heroes.

Project 224.1

In the Kirovsky district of Novosibirsk, since 2010, the project "Nameless height 224.1" (these are its coordinates) has been organized by the administration together with young guys from the organization "Union of Kirov".

Not only the youth of the district became interested in the event, but the guys from the village of Mayma, Republic of Altai, also joined them.

In order to get into this project, military training competitions are organized annually, every young man can take part. By tradition, those who have passed the selection take part in the rally on Victory Day and carry out the orders of the military.

After the various events, the participants spend class hours at their schools and talk about what is happening to draw attention to this competition.

Some go further and run bigger programs after the trip: round tables, press conferences, present their own videos and photo stories.

This project has become significant for the residents of the city, in particular, for the systematic patriotic education of urban youth.

During the five years of the existence of such organized events, 110 people visited the memorial complex. They certainly discovered something new for themselves. After all, every piece of land is saturated with its own unique history.

No one is forgotten

As previously mentioned, every year the "Nameless Height"meets the military and the guys who come to honor the memory of the deceased heroes. Significant events are not necessarily dedicated to Victory Day, many of them take place in the middle of the year.

The younger generation is very interested in the past, which is good news. The memory of the heroes must live in human hearts forever. And the point here is not so much in admiration for past exploits, but in patriotic education and the formation of pride in their native land.
