Airport (Grozny - the city where it is also located) is an enterprise of interstate importance. Today it serves major Russian airlines, but it all started with a small modest enterprise. There was a period when the airport was temporarily not in use. During the military conflict, the entire infrastructure of the airport was destroyed. History

The airport in Grozny began its work in 1938. At first, the enterprise had only U-2 and R-5 aircraft. They performed postal and cargo tasks. At the end of the year, the airport was allowed access to service aircraft "TU-154". In 2009, the airline received international status.
