Little has changed in the lives of Permians who annually go on vacation to the Crimea. Direct train service "Perm-Simferopol" makes life easier for residents of the entire Urals, who make a change in Perm, after which they travel in comfort. However, there are alternative travel options.
Why Simferopol?
Simferopol is a city located on the territory of Crimea and has a rich past. According to historians, the Naples-Scythian settlement became the predecessor of the settlement, which was built in the 3rd century BC and destroyed approximately 600 years later. His remains can still be found walking along the left bank of the Salgir.
Besides, it is here that you can ride the longest trolleybus line in the world, which connects Simferopol, Alushta and Y alta. The train "Perm-Simferopol" is one of the few that is skipped by the Ukrainian security forces in a difficult period for Russia and Ukraine. Railway and road transport, according to the inhabitants of Crimea, is now oneone of the safest ways to get to the peninsula.
Is it far to Simferopol?
There is one thing that interests everyone who is planning a trip along the Perm-Simferopol route - distance. It may vary and depend on how exactly the traveler will get to the Crimea. If you are going to go there by car, then the distance will be 2834 kilometers, taking into account the fact that you will go along the necessary routes. The distance in a straight line is much less and is 2095 kilometers.
If we are talking about traveling by train, then here the numbers are somewhat different, since the train must pass through the territory of not only Russia, but also Ukraine. The distance in this case is 2856 kilometers, taking into account the arrival on the territory of a neighboring state. The distance between the airports of Perm and Simferopol is 2078 kilometers.
Let's go by train
A convenient way to get to the Crimea is the Perm-Simferopol train, which was previously seasonal, but has recently been introduced into the general schedule on an ongoing basis. Previously, an express train operated between the two cities, in the schedule for 2015 it was transferred to the rank of passenger, resulting in an increase in travel time.
The train departs from Perm on even days, so it will be until September 8, 2015, in the future the schedule will change for the winter. The total travel time from Perm to Simferopol is almost 50 hours, previously it was 47.5 hours. Passengers are offeredall conveniences, the train has a dining car, the most modern trains are used.
The cost of tickets depends on what type of travel document is purchased. The most expensive place will cost in a luxury car, the cheapest will be a place in a reserved seat. The exact cost must be checked with the Russian Railways information desk, as it may vary according to the coefficient and the time of year.
Airplane is faster
If the train does not suit you, there is another means that allows you to travel along the route "Perm-Simferopol" - the plane. There are direct flights between the two cities, the flight duration is about three and a half hours, Boeing and Airbus liners of various airlines run on the route.
The cost of a plane ticket can also vary, it must be checked with the airline that serves the particular flight. The average price of a one-way ticket ranges from 4,000 to 6,000 rubles, but if you purchase a round-trip ticket, the cost can range from 10,000 to 13,000 rubles.
If there are no direct tickets for the Perm-Simferopol flight, you can get to your destination with a transfer through Moscow. The duration of the flight in this case will increase significantly (from 7 to 10 hours), as will the cost of the travel document. Ticket prices can be checked with airline representatives.
Or is it still in the car?
Travel lovers can go to the Crimea by car. "Perm-Simferopol" - routequite long, and it may take several days to overcome it. You will have to pass through Izhevsk, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, as well as the Krasnodar region, although the quality of roads in some regions leaves much to be desired.
The most exciting part of the journey awaits motorists in Kerch, where they will have to cross the strait by ferry. Since there is no bridge between the Krasnodar region and Crimea yet, it is at the design stage, all Russians who want to get to the peninsula and use a car to do this have to wait in line. Sometimes the wait stretches for several hours.
Other ways
Unfortunately, there is no direct bus service on the Perm-Simferopol route, so you won't be able to use it. Many travelers, leaving Perm, reach Krasnodar, and then cross the Kerch Strait by ferry, take a train and go to the final destination of their journey - Simferopol. However, this option is not entirely convenient, as it will require additional expenditure of time, money and effort, so it is best to use a direct message.
You can also get to the Crimea through the territory of Ukraine, but the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation does not recommend entering the territory of a neighboring country due to the hostilities taking place there until further notice. It is planned to build a road and rail bridge across the Kerch Strait, but they will not appear until 2016.
As ofAugust 2015 Russians who plan to visit Crimea do not need a passport or visa - entry into the territory of the peninsula is carried out according to the standard principle of entry into any region of the country. When visiting Crimea, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation recommend that you exercise full caution and security measures, avoid contact with suspicious persons, and immediately contact local law enforcement agencies in case of any emergency.
