Sunrise made a name for itself in 2003 with the opening of its first three hotels in Egypt. The chain is developing quite actively in the local market, both through the construction of new facilities and by taking over existing hotels.
Today it has more than ten complexes, which are located in the main resorts of the country. Sunrise Select Royal Makadi Resort is located in Hurghada, not far from the Makadi Bay area.
Description
Sunrise Royal Makadi - a beautiful hotel built in the national style and offering everything you need for a wonderful holiday, welcomed the first travelers in 2005. The territory of the complex is located at a small distance from Hurghada (about 30 km), but at the same time, buses and taxis make it easy to get there.
The complex was built on a grand scale. Water slides, as well as five pools for adults and three forchildren, which are warmed up in winter, certainly not only decorate the territory, but also provide additional opportunities for recreation.
Rooms
The number of hotel rooms was only slightly short of 700. Fortunately, the territory allowed them to be placed in small two-story buildings, so there is no feeling of overcrowding. Even the most modest rooms in Sunrise Royal Makadi are quite impressive in size. But for the convenience of guests, there are rooms of various types - from standard to royal suites, whose area is more than 100 square meters.
Food at the hotel
Guests of Sunrise Royal Makadi are offered meals according to the "AI UAI" system. For the convenience of residents, the already traditional buffet is organized in two restaurants at once.
Well, if you are tired of traditional food during your vacation, you can eat in one of the many establishments located right on the territory of the complex. The hotel has several restaurants where guests can enjoy Italian, Greek, Mexican, Asian and, notably, Bedouin cuisine. In addition to them, there are several bars and cafes.
Beach
The hotel is located on the sea coast, so you can get to the beach by walking along its territory. It is worth noting that it is well equipped (rental of sunbeds, umbrellas, towels, sports equipment).
Additional information
Like most hotels in Egypt, Sunrise Royal Makadi has a team of animators who entertainguests from morning to evening, both by holding sports events, and by organizing and showing various performances.
For a fee, access to the beauty salon and SPA center is possible.
For those who are used to active rest, and not just basking in the sun, the following sports can be practiced on the territory: tennis, billiards, beach volleyball and football and, of course, table tennis. Well, for guests who cannot imagine their life without regular training, classes in the gym will allow you not to lose your physical shape during the holidays.
The Red Sea is a favorite destination for diving and snorkeling, and water sports and snorkeling centers make these activities and more available to hotel guests. True, such entertainment will have to be paid extra.
The complex is positioned as a universal place for recreation, where newlyweds, older people and, of course, families with children can have a great vacation. What is prepared for young travelers is worth mentioning separately.
When booking a room, you can make a request for a baby bed. In the restaurants for the youngest guests there are high chairs. The pools already described above, a playground and a club for kids from 4 years old, where Russian-speaking specialists work, will not let a child get bored.
It is worth mentioning separately that the Dolphin World dolphinarium is located not far from the hotel, so here you can always find something interesting for both adults and children.

Probably, this hotel is one of the few in Egypt that can boast of consistently positive ratings for its work.
