Vladimir region, despite its small size, contains many interesting cities on its territory, each with its own history and various sights. In addition to the traditional directions for the Golden Ring, you can go from Vladimir to Kovrov, which is known as a center for the production of weapons. By car
By car, you can travel the distance between cities in about an hour. From Vladimir, you need to leave along the M-7 highway and move east to the village of Seninskie dvoriki near the Nerekhta River. There you need to turn onto R-71 and enter Kovrov from the south.
What to see in Kovrov?
The city does not have as many historical monuments as Suzdal or Gorokhovets, but there are enough sights. Directly from the station you can get into the city garden. Two museums are located next to it - the local history and memorial house-museum of the gunsmith Degtyarev.
From there you can walk to the bridge over the Klyazma and to the Nativity Cathedral.
If you walk from the station to the southern part of the city, that is, behind the railway tracks, you can find two steles (the city of military glory and a local factory), as well as Victory Square.
