This article will focus on the airline "Moskovia", formerly called the airline named after Mikhail Mikhailovich Gromov, which was formed in 1995 on the basis of the Gromov Flight Research Institute. Later (in 2008), this carrier officially passes from state ownership to private ownership. Currently, the crew of the Russian airline "Moskovia" successfully operates a large number of domestic and international flights both in Russia and abroad (including non-CIS countries and the CIS).
The carrier is based at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, and its headquarters is located in the city of Zhukovsky, Moscow Region. As for the main activities of the Russian airline "Moskovia", first of all, it should be noted passenger and cargo flights on such routes as Bukhara, Tivat, Fergana, Moscow, Namangan, Nukus, Karshi,Samarkand, Ganja, Termez, Andijan and Navoi.
Since 2007, regular flights from Domodedovo to Tivat (Montenegro) have also been established. In addition, starting from the autumn of 2013, this airline operates daily flights from Moscow to Stavropol. It has its official representations in the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in such cities as Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Sochi, Barnaul and Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
The air fleet of Moskovia Airlines currently has five passenger aircraft (including three Boeing-737) and three cargo aircraft of the An-12 model. Of particular note is the service system of this carrier. The fact is that for all passenger aircraft of this company it is one-class, that is, there is only an economy class on the aircraft. If we talk about delays in flights operated by this Russian carrier, then according to official data for 2011, the percentage of delays of this organization is about 17%.
Among other things, it should be said that, following the results of 2004, Moscovia Airlines JSC received such an honorary title as Wings of Russia. In addition, this air carrier has a special license from the FSB, allowing the transportation of various classified materials that are labeled "Top Secret" and "Secret". All employees of this company also received a special clearance fordoing this kind of work.
In conclusion, it should be said that by 2015 the top management of this air carrier plans to completely replace all An-12 aircraft with more modern aircraft manufactured by the American concern Boeing. In addition, the management is currently developing and successfully implementing a special program aimed at ensuring the safety of flights. Thanks to this, the Moskovia airline, which reviews are mostly the most positive, has significantly increased the safety of passengers and cargo carried by it.
