St. Petersburg is one of the largest cities in Russia, located in the northwestern part of the country near the border with the B altic countries - Estonia and Finland.

Vasileostrovskiy

It is an island with no land borders to the rest of the city. To be more precise, it includes three islands: Vasilyevsky, Goloday and Serny. Vasileostrovsky district, along with Admir alteisky, Central and Petrogradsky, is located in the historical center of the city - all these four administrative-territorial units represent the central regions of St. Petersburg.

Vasileostrovsky district is close to the main business centers and famous sights of the city, but at the same time due toits location has weak transport links with the mainland. Residents of St. Petersburg call this area simply Vaska.

Moscow

This territorial unit of St. Petersburg was not in vain given just such a name. After all, a highway runs from this area from Moskovsky Prospekt, along which they go to the capital of the Russian Federation. The avenue is the oldest street in the district, existing since the founding of the city. Moskovsky district is the southernmost district of St. Petersburg and one of the most prestigious and beautiful.

Admir alty

Frunzensky

Heavily populated area in the south of the city. It is named after the famous military leader Mikhail Vasilyevich Frunze. Krasnoselsky

It occupies a large area and is located in the southwest of St. Petersburg. It includes the city of Krasnoye Selo and a number of settlements. It is distinguished by its environmental friendliness, as it has a small number of industrial enterprises. There are large parks, many lakes and rivers. Its peculiarity is that there is not a single metro station in the area.

Nevsky

Nevsky district of St. Petersburg is one of the largest districts of St. Petersburg and is the only one located on both banks of the Neva. At the same time, the left-bank and right-bank zones are fundamentally different from each other. The Nevsky district of St. Petersburg on the left bank has more old houses and more industrial enterprises in the housing stock than on the right bank, which has more comfortable living conditions.

Kronstadt

It has an island location. It represents the city of Kronstadt, which is mostly located on the island of Kotlin. Until recently, it was considered a closed zone, where it was impossible to freely enter everyone.

Vyborgsky

Central

This is the historical center of St. Petersburg, it is located on the left bank of the Neva. Its very name speaks for itself - here is the center of architectural monuments and the most important government institutions, including the city administration. The construction of new industrial enterprises is prohibited on the territory within the district.

Pushkinsky

Includes two cities - Pushkin and Pavlovsk, as well as three villages. Most of the population lives in the city of Pushkin, which previously had a well-known name - Tsarskoye Selo. This southern area is recognized as one of the most environmentally friendly in the city. It is a major scientific and tourist center.

Petrodvorets

Located in the west of St. Petersburg. It consists of: Peterhof, Lomonosov and Strelna. In the north, the region borders on the Gulf of Finland. This area is considered prestigious. There are many attractions and green spaces.

Petrogradsky

This is an area with a great historical past and its oldest territory. Once it was the center of St. Petersburg. He took his name from one of the seven islands that make up the composition. The area is notable for the fact that the Peter and Paul Fortress is located here, which became the foundation of the Northern capital.

Kalinin

Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg lies in the north of St. Petersburg. First of all, this territory is a giant industrial center, in addition, it can be called a scientific and educational center. Kalininsky and Primorsky are the largest districts of St. Petersburg.

Kirovskiy

Krasnogvardeisky

Located on the right bank of the Neva. It is an ancient part of the city. Previously, it was attached to the Kalininsky District, later regained its independence as an administrative-territorial unit.
