Lyubertsy is located not far from Moscow, in a beautiful, picturesque place. The city is interesting in terms of history. The first mention of the settlement dates back in historical documents to the beginning of the seventeenth century. Just like the entire Moscow region, the city of Lyubertsy has its own wonderful places. The mysterious Natasha Park, the photo of which is presented in the article, attracts many interested people with its amazing name. This is an unusually beautiful place on the banks of the pond, which has the same name as the park. Where did such an unusual name come from? You can learn about this by looking back a hundred years.

History of the square

The history of the park is really unusual. First of all, because it was originally conceived not as a recreation park. In the first year of the twentieth century, a certain merchant Skalsky purchased land for himself near a village called Podosinki.

They bought this territory for purely commercial purposes in order to further sell it for summer cottages. Since the land at that moment was not very attractive, the merchant decided to improve it. He drained all the swamps, which were enough here, uprooted the bush. In the vacant place, I decided to place ponds. Three ponds have been dug. Moreover, jumpers were made between them to regulate the water level. Their level varied in height. The difference between them was about a meter. In addition, he ordered that 2 baths be built, benches and lanterns installed. For fishermen, fry were launched into the reservoirs, and in one - white crucians, in the other - red ones, in the third - loaches and minnows. The bottom of the ponds was lined with oak logs. The bottom of the reservoirs is very silty, during the summer a huge amount of algae grows here, which greatly pollutes the water. They were cleaned in the 1980s.

All the silt and algae were taken as fertilizer to neighboring state farms, and sand was put on top of the logs. During cleaning, the fuselage of the aircraft was found at the bottom, which was pulled out during cleaning.

Construction of the temple of the same name

Natasha's temple was also built here with the money of a merchant. It happened in 1912. The building of the church was designed by M. Bugrovsky. They consecrated the temple in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity. Alexander Sakharov became the rector of the cathedral at that time. This temple was lucky in the twenties of the last century. While other cathedrals were destroyed by the Bolsheviks, Natashinsky was not touched. On theDivine services were held there throughout the Soviet period. Such well-known religious figures as Kiprian Zernov, Ioanna Krestyankina came out of the Natasha Church. In the fiftieth year, Konstantin Golubev became the rector of the temple, by whose efforts the roof was repaired, gilding was applied to the crosses, all buildings were painted, steam heating was laid and the floor coverings were replaced. At the time when John Pruskalev was the rector, the church was painted again, an extension and a fence were added. Currently, the church even has a car garage and a carpentry workshop. There is a parochial school for children.

The appearance of the park. When did this happen and how?

But in those historical times of the early twentieth century, the construction of the temple attracted the attention of people who began to buy dachas for themselves. Thus, the village of Natashino was formed here. A park was laid out between the villages of Podosinki and Natashino.

At that time, a little daughter Natasha was born to the merchant, and the merchant named this area after her. This is how Natashinsky Park appeared. Lyubertsy, or rather its inhabitants, fell in love with him very much during the entire time of his existence. When the park was threatened with division and development, the entire city rose to the defense.

During the Great Patriotic War, the recreation area was badly damaged, as many trees were cut down for firewood, and potatoes were planted in empty places. People had to live on something.

Post-war years. What happened to the park during this period?

All residents working at the backbone enterprises of the city - "Selkhozmash", a helicopter plant and on the railway came out to plant trees. Natasha's ponds have remained a favorite place for recreation of the city's residents. Moreover, children's attractions have been installed here.

But in the post-perestroika period, like many parks and squares throughout the country, Natasha Park was badly damaged. The plantations were no longer looked after, the rides were removed, the stadium and the hockey rink fell into disrepair.

Construction of a residential complex

The problem of restoring the park was also that it was not even on the map of the city, which means that its boundaries were not defined. During the period of resettlement of residents of dilapidated houses, the management decided to build a residential complex here, which was opposed by the townspeople. Too much of the park was supposed to be cut off. By the way, the residential complex "Natashinsky Park" was nevertheless started to be built, but these are just a few houses. The rest of the Lyubertsy managed to win back.

Residents of the city actively took up the protection of the park, at some point for many citizens this problem became the main one. It was accompanied by heated discussions in the media.

Park renovation

In two thousand and twelve created"A working group to find a solution to the conflict situation on border issues (taking into account the use of adjacent territories) and the project for the improvement of Natasha Park in the city of Lyubertsy." The commission included both the administration and the people's movement "Lyubertsy for Natashinsky Park." Only after a visit to the city by the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Yuryevich Vorobyov and the chairman of the Public Chamber Lev Leshchenko, the issue was resolved.

It was decided to reconstruct the park. Moreover, it so happened that almost the entire city took part in the discussion of this reconstruction.

The Natasha Ponds City Park project is a pilot project. It is part of a series of projects for the restoration of public gardens in the Moscow region. This program is designed to create a developed and modern infrastructure of public parks according to uniform standards. According to it, cities with a population of one hundred thousand or more must have sports facilities, public recreation areas, areas for cultural, leisure and educational events, exhibition halls, board games, playgrounds, volleyball and basketball courts, badminton and tennis courts. In addition, food points, picnic areas with barbecues are obligatory.

What has changed?

At first, after the start of the reconstruction, the main efforts went to clearing the park of debris, but then the work went into full force. In recent years, a lot of work has been done onimprovement of the central alley, laid out new paving slabs, installed beautiful lamps, planted new shrubs and flowers. Recently, a monument to Mikhail Mitrofanov, a hero from Lyubertsy, was restored, who in 1966, at the cost of his life, saved a full bus full of people rushing at high speed. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Lenin.

Restored playgrounds for children's games, planted a lot of new lawns, trees. This was followed by improvements on the embankment of the ponds, there will be a beach, a jetty for water bicycles and a rescue tower. In addition, new cafes have opened in Natashinsky Park, a kind of "Club House", where people are given the opportunity to sit, relax with a cup of tea, play chess.
