How the embankment came about
In the museums of Vladivostok, you can find information that in the 19th century, on the site of the current embankment, baths were located in which the water of the Amur Bay had high salinity and was considered healing. By the beginning of the 20th century, a market spontaneously formed on the shore of the bay, which became popular for the townspeople. It always had fresh fish and seafood, which were brought by fishermen immediately after the catch.
In the middle of the last century, the city beach began to be equipped with sports grounds, solariums and water stations. The locals called the beach the shore of he alth, then the name "Sports Harbor" was assigned to the beach.

Citizens' favorite vacation spot
In any resort town there are embankments along which vacationers make their promenade in the evenings. If you ask the citizens of Vladivostok what is their favorite place to relax, they will, of course, answer that this is Sports Embankment. They love to come here.
Walking alleys lined with paving stones stretch from the embankment. The embankment in 2016 experienced a period of renovation. For a long time, one of its parts remained running. Thanks to the city development program, the first street food alley in the Far East appeared here with numerous cafes with American and Chinese cuisines on the menu. Next to the Sports Embankment is the noisiest place in the city - an amusement park for children and adults "Carousel". And having been on the Ferris wheel, you can see not only the city, but also the hills at a glance.
Walking along the Sports Embankment in Vladivostok (photo above), you can look into a cafe with open summer terraces or stand by the fountain. This is an impressive bowl with water gushing to the music. Splashes of water are synchronous with musical melodies andilluminated in all sorts of colors. Soon the city authorities are planning to combine Cape Kungasny and Sports Embankment into a single walking area.
Art objects on the embankment
In 2013, an original art object appeared on the Sports Embankment in Vladivostok. All the inhabitants of the city are in love with him. These are two beautiful bronze tiger cubs. They are installed here as a symbol of care for a rare breed of cats. No less interesting art object is the "Heart of Love". A romantic place where you can confess your love, hang locks by throwing the keys into the water, make a secret wish, and also seal the bonds of marriage at an exit session.
In the summer of 2018, not far from the Sports Embankment in Vladivostok, next to the amusement park, another unique art object was opened - the creative street ART AVENUE A2. The street fell in love with both the townspeople and the guests of the city. Near the decorated sections along the street and the intricate fence, you can take pictures and walk along the path, painted in all the colors of the rainbow.
And here is another art object "Seven Hills", located in the area of the Sports Embankment of Vladivostok, did not surprise the townspeople. They did not notice the art in the concrete structures of the project, although the idea of the authors of the architectural object - to acquaint citizens and visitors of the city with the names of the hills and the heights of these hills indicated on the steles, initially seemed useful.
