When Vladivostok International Airport was founded

And in 1936, a military airfield was built on land as well. It was located near the village of Knevichi, which is near the city of Artem. The era of civil aviation forced the government to convert a military airfield for passenger traffic. The first flights were made to Khabarovsk. The plane landed from Moscow in 1948

When the socialist system was replaced by free commercial relations, Vladivostok Air OJSC was founded in 1994. Five years later, an international terminal was built. And, finally, on February 15, 2008, after a large-scale reconstruction, Vladivostok International Airport Open Joint Stock Company was formed.

But the story didn't end there. There are no limits to improvement, and already in August 2009, the construction of a new air harbor was launched. A long (three and a half kilometers) and wide runway was built, capable of receiving ships of any weight. But the real breakthrough was the removal of restrictions on the arrivals of foreign airlines at Vladivostok airport. The so-called terminal "A" was built. It entered service in June 2012. Its first visitors were one hundred and forty-eight passengers on a flight from Novosibirsk served by Vladivostok Air. Since September of the sameyear, this terminal took over all the services of the air harbor.

If earlier passengers had to rush between the terminals of domestic and foreign flights, now the entire flow of arrivals and departures is served by one three-story building. This building was built in accordance with the standards applicable to air harbors with international status, which Vladivostok Airport has. The flight schedule is general. The scoreboard reflects the departure only in chronological order. The large building of the air harbor of Vladivostok has all the amenities for a comfortable waiting for a flight. This is a fast food cafe, and a restaurant, and eateries.

There are comfortable waiting rooms in Terminal A, including a VIP area and a mother and child room. How to get to Vladivostok and other cities of Primorsky Krai

Where is the air harbor? Vladivostok Airport is actually located close - only four and a half kilometers - from the city of Artem. There is a bus every 20 minutes. No. 7. And from Vladivostok to its air harbor as much as thirty-eight kilometers. They can be overcome with the help of rail transport. First we take the train to Artyom, and then the Airport train or the same bus No. 7.

You can also get to the air harbor without transfers. To do this, you need to take the bus "Vladivostok - Airport". Route number 101 departs from the station square of the city. A one-way ticket costs sixty rubles. From Vladivostok airport you can go straight to Nakhodka. Travel by bus number 601 costs two hundred and seven rubles. There are many routes to Ussuriysk. And you can get to the city of Arseniev by buses No. 520 or No. 609.
