This piece of paradise, famous for its marvelous beauty, stretches from the Black Sea coast to the Sevastopol-Y alta road. The center of the village rises only 32 meters above sea level.

Park in Foros

Foros Park is a real gem of a village already sparkling with its picturesqueness. She instantly amazes with her magnificence! It was decided to lay the park on the initiative of General Raevsky. It is located on an area of 70 hectares. There are more than two hundred different plants growing here! Pines, cypresses, cedars and, of course, magnolias and palm trees - this is what Foros Park can show visitors. The cost of entering its territory is zero, as there is no fee.

The park was founded by Count Kuznetsov, popularly called him "the Russian tea king". He bought a huge plot of land with the aim of building a picturesque park on it next to his palace. Doctors advised him and his wife to settle in this very place.

Compositionally, Foros Park is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower. The most picturesque of them is the middle part. It is notable for artificial lakes located at different levels (terraces), which communicate with each other and turn into a beautiful cascade. The upper part of the Forossky park is a mixed forest with all kinds of natural paths winding steeply along the slopes.

Foros Park: how to get there

How to get to the park? This can be done in several ways. If traveling fromY alta, then by bus or fixed-route taxi "Y alta - Foros". From Sevastopol - by bus going along the route "Sevastopol - Foros" from the bus station itself, or by bus "Sevastopol - Miskhor", "Sevastopol - Y alta" (in this case, you need to get off on the highway and go down to the village).

The park is located on the territory of the sanatorium of the same name. To get into it, you need to go through the entrance. You can do this for free.

In addition to the beauties of the park itself, you can also see the Foros Church, built with the money of the same Count Kuznetsov.

Foros Church

This wonderful majestic temple is an example of traditional Russian architecture of the century. It is located on the very edge of the Red Cliff.

This church was erected in 1892. The temple has nine different domes. This feature gives the church solemnity and some pomposity. Another important feature of this temple is its orientation. The Foros church is turned towards the sea, and not to the east (as is customary for the construction of all Orthodox buildings).

Kuznetsov's Palace

Count Kuznetsov chose a truly good place for his residence! Landscapes of indescribable beauty open from the windows of the building from any side.

No less impressive is the interior of the palace: oak doors, parquet, marble fireplace - all this has survived to this day in its original form. In the whole environment one can feelimpeccable style and graceful simplicity.
