One of the most popular cities on the southern coast of Crimea is Y alta. It attracts both those who like to soak up the beach, and those who prefer to explore the sights and other outdoor activities. Young people are attracted by the nightlife, because the clubs of the city offer entertainment until the morning. Even those who have a rest in other resorts come here at least for a day. And most people begin their acquaintance with the city from arriving at the Y alta bus station.
How to get there?
Strange as it may seem, such a popular city has neither an airport nor a train station. Their construction is complicated by the proximity of the mountains and the sea, so even the Soviet government decided that it was more profitable to develop the road network. Now the bus station "Y alta" has a large number of routes on which long-distance and even international buses run.
If you need to get to Y alta from any other city of the Crimean peninsula, feel free to go for a bus ticket. This is the most profitable and quite fastmode of transportation in the republic. Guests of Y alta can just as easily travel around the peninsula, taking buses to places of interest.
The way to Y alta from Simferopol
Traveling from afar, you can fly by plane to the only Crimean airport, located near Simferopol. Only Russian airlines fly to Crimea, international flights are still banned as of spring 2016 due to the political situation. But ticket prices are affordable for most tourists, they are compensated by government subsidies. It is especially beneficial to travel by plane if the flight replaces the road by land transport, which takes several days.
Directly from the terminal building there are direct buses to the Y alta bus station. If there are several hours before the next departure, but you want to get to the sea as soon as possible, then it is enough to take any bus passing by the central bus station or the Kurortnaya station. Many buses and minibuses to Y alta constantly run from them, which will deliver them to their destination in a maximum of 2 hours. The cost of a ticket for different routes is slightly different, on average it is 100-150 rubles.
Taxi will cost at least 1500-2000 rubles, and the journey will take a little over an hour. It is better to order a car through a service than to catch a private driver. If you still decide to agree on your own, then immediately stipulate the amount and specify whether it is indicated for all passengers or for each.
The most famous trolleybus
This mode of transport is worth mentioningseparately. In addition to lines within cities, there are also long-distance routes in Crimea. In just an hour you can reach your destination by trolleybus number 53 from Alushta. The road from Simferopol will take up to 2.5 hours. There is route number 55 from the airport and route number 52 from the station "Kurortnaya" near the railway station. The route connecting Simferopol with Y alta is recognized as the longest, which is noted in the Guinness Book of Records. The length of the route is 84 km, and from the airport to Y alta - 96 km.
The Crimean trolleybus is not much slower than intercity buses, and the price is also not much different. The final stop of the trolleybus is located on the same street (Moskovskaya) as the Y alta bus station - you just need to cross the road.
The history of the appearance of the bus station
Passenger communication with the southern coast of Crimea began to develop especially actively since 1861. Then people traveled by wagons and malposts (multi-seat carriages) to the station at the intersection of Massandrovskaya and Pochtovaya streets. The very name of the latter came from the fact that, in addition to people, carts delivered letters and other mail.
A century later, the bus station moved a little along Postal Street. The emergence and spread of transport with gasoline engines was reflected in transportation: guests arrived at the resort in buses and diesel trolleybuses. The number of transport grew, and new roads were built. After the construction of the circuit route, from which the routes to Simferopol and Sevastopol departed, it was decided to builda new station near such a convenient transportation hub.
Architect GV Chakhava was involved in the work. It was he who proposed the project, thanks to which the Y alta bus station looks modern for many years. Due to the many windows that merge into two glass walls, the building is sometimes called an aquarium. In addition to the station building, road junctions were created. The grand opening took place in mid-December 1966 in honor of the half-century anniversary of Soviet power.
Now the growing flow of tourists did not immediately go to the city center, but was redirected by internal flights to the desired part of the city. The best way to get to Foros, Alupka and the city known as Big Y alta is the bus station. Phone to clarify the schedule and book tickets: +7 (3654) 34-23-84.
