During the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the botanical garden gardens were planted and tree crops were cut down. This time caused great damage and called into question the continued existence of the botanical garden. But in the future, the main territories were restored and put in order.

Currently, the botanical garden (Samara) is the only one in the entire territory of the Middle Volga region. The main scientific research and work on the study of rare plants of the region and the breeding of new varieties are carried out here. The government issued a decree on awarding this place the title of a state monument of nature.

The Botanical Garden (Samara) is currently the main scientific and research base for Samara State University. On its territory, events and lectures of various universities of the world are held, which cooperate with the Botanical Garden on various issues.

Residents and guests of the city should definitely visit the Botanical Garden (Samara). Its operating hours depend on the day of the week. From Monday to Thursday, the entrance is open to visitors from 8 am to 5 pm. On Friday, the entrance to the territory is open until 12 noon. The Botanical Garden is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

How much does it cost to visit the Botanical Garden in Samara? Ticket prices for schoolchildren, students and pensioners start from 20 rubles. For everyone else, the entrance ticket will cost 50 rubles.
