Dzhamgarovsky park: a small paradise in the north-east of Moscow

Citizens of the capital get tired of the hustle and bustle and dream of outdoor recreation. Unfortunately, in the conditions of a metropolis this is not always possible, but those who live in the Losinooostrovskiy district of Moscow are lucky. They can go for a walk in Jamgar Park at any free moment.

History of the park

On the bank of the Ichka River in 1906, brothers from an Armenian family named Dzhamgarovs erected a manor. They were the owners of a banking house with a huge turnover for those times. Their estate was located here, and the brothers landscaped this territory of Moscow. Unfortunately, the estate itself has not survived, it was destroyed by the Soviet government. Before the Great October Revolution, the Dzhamgarov brothers, anticipating trouble, sold the banking house and all their property and left for Europe.

Dzhamgarovsky Park is more like a well-groomed forest. Here you will be met by lindens, birches, tall pines. Parents with prams and babies walk along the paved paths with pleasure. Dzhamgarovsky Pond

Dzhamgarovsky pond is located in the center of the park. It is surrounded by a wooden embankment along the perimeter. Its depth is 2.5 meters, and its area is 13.5 hectares. Carp, perch, roach, pike are caught in the lake. On the territory of the pond you can see many varieties of ducks.

On the other side of the pond is a cemetery, and there are legends that when the shore was washed away, coffins floated up. There is no confirmation of this. Now the coast has been strengthened, but the quality of the water leaves much to be desired, cadaveric poisons get into the reservoir, the water is dirty.

Drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited here, this is monitored by the workers of the first-aid post and the police. There is an official fine. The money goes to the treasury, and then allocated to the needs of the park. Unfortunately, there are sad statistics - more people have drowned in the pond over the past few years than in any other reservoir in Moscow.

Dzhamgarovsky park: how to get to the recreation area

There is a bus number 50 to the park, which you need to take at the Medvedkovo metro station. There is also another route. From the Babushkinskaya metro station, take bus number 181 to the Musical School stop. You can get off at the next one, it's called "start street". If you need the Yaroslavl direction, then you should take any of the buses at the Los station.

Aurora Entertainment Center and Gondolas

After a walk through the picturesque places, you will definitely have an appetite. You can visit the entertainment center "Aurora". It is located right next to the pond. It is nice to have lunch or drink soft drinks by the water.

Prices in the entertainment center are moderate, and for a small amount you can eat thoroughly. The three-story building has a karaoke club, children's room, billiards.

Local attraction - several gondolas that can be seen from the shore. They belong to the entertainment center. Not Venice, of course, but for Moscow this is an unusual sight. It's funny that they park next to the cars, but if necessary they are quickly launched into the water.

Autumn here is fabulous, shimmers with all colorsrainbows. Spring is emerald and fresh, like melt water. In summer, you can hide from the heat here and get a boost of vivacity and energy. And in winter, a frozen pond awaits guests with skates! There are slides from which children descend with laughter, there are fights with snowballs.
