Strogino metro station is located on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. The opening took place in 2008. The article describes the history of the Moscow Metro station, as well as information about ground facilities located next to this metro station.
Construction
For twelve years, the metro station "Strogino" was indicated on the map as under construction. The point, of course, is not that the work process dragged on for such a long time. In the early nineties, the country was gripped by an unprecedented economic crisis, as a result of which the further construction of new metro stations in the capital became impossible.
The Strogino metro station, according to the original plan, was supposed to be part of the Filevskaya line, indicated in blue on the diagram. But in 1993, construction was postponed indefinitely. When, after more than a decade, they returned to the project, Moscow looked completely different in the north-west. It was decided to include the Strogino, Volokolamskaya, and Myakinino metro stations into the blue line, thereby providing residents with underground transportnew areas. However, the houses located in the vicinity of the station referred to in this article were built before the new millennium. The area where the Strogino metro station is located will be discussed later.
The opening took place on New Year's Eve. For two years, the Strogino metro station was the terminus on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. In 2008, the construction of another blue line station, Myakinino, was completed.
"Krylatskoye" - "Strogino"
The travel time from one station to another in the Moscow Metro is three minutes on average. But there is an exception. The train from "Strogino" to "Krylatskaya" travels almost eight minutes. Passengers using the Arbatskaya-Pokrovskaya line are aware of this feature. But why is there such a long distance between these stations? Few people think about it.
The fact is that between "Strogino" and "Krylatskoye" is located "Trinity-Lykovo". This is a technical station, which today is used only by metro employees. It is also called "perspective". That is, it is possible that someday it will be opened.
Near the station "Troitse-Lykovo" is the village of the same name. The construction of the subway can be resumed only if there is a residential area that can provide the subway with the necessary number of passengers. But representatives of the city authorities not so long ago compiled a list of villages, subject to demolition. Troitse-Lukovo was not included in this list. Let's return to the Strogino metro station. Which streets are available from this station?
