The Taneyev estate has a rich history. Here the first buildings were completed in 1623. Since that time, an interesting history of the Taneyev family and estate began. Now this place is a resort area, which is visited by residents from different regions of Russia.

After the advent of Soviet power, mass repressions began. The Taneyev family could not avoid them either. Daughter Anna was imprisoned, her parents were also persecuted for a long time, unable to withstand the next repressions, they died.

One of Anna's brothers went to New York, where he died. The woman herself ended her life in a monastery.

History of the estate

In 1808, construction continued on the territory of the village of Marinino. Andrei Mikhailovich Taneyev ordered the demolition of the old wooden church, and a beautiful stone church was erected instead.

Original linden alleys were planted in the estate. The trees grew very close to each other and created entire arenas on the territory. Ponds were dug inside such bosquets or covered gazebos were built for relaxation.
