Among the large number of St. Petersburg islands, the former Kirov Islands should be noted. It is on one of them, Krestovsky, that an attractive vacation spot is located - Primorsky Victory Park. It is a landscape garden and park complex, consisting of the most interesting examples of St. Petersburg architecture of the 19th century. Its territory borders on Ryukhina Street, Northern Road, the eastern bank of the Rowing Canal, Northern Alley.
Recreation on this island began since the time of Peter the Great. Even then, country estates belonging to the close associates of the tsar, statesmen and prominent politicians of Russia were erected here. In the 17th century it became the private property of the famous Prince Beloselsky-Belozersky. During this period, the sale of plots of the island began, on which taverns and summer cottages were built. With the advent of Soviet power, the island did not lose its purpose. It was still a recreation area. After the victory in the Great Patriotic War, in the same year, during the mass community work day in October, the Primorsky Victory Park was founded.
The composition of the park includes a two-kilometer alley, which is decorated with curly trimmed shrubs and flower beds with colorful flowers. Parallel to it, there are two roads along which bronze statues are installed: “The Girl Meeting the Winners” and “Sailor-Chernomorets”. Attention should be paid to such sights as the pillbox, which has remained here since the war, and the memorial stele, which depicts the heroic victory of the Soviet people. At the end of the alley, majestic oaks rise, planted by various delegations that have visited the park. Seaside Victory Park has another interesting stele, which depicts a little girl planting a green sprout in the ground.
Many aspire to the Primorsky Victory Park to visit the entertainment attractions, which are combined into a single complex called "Divo Island". There are activities for the little ones. Various carousels work for them and playgrounds are equipped where you can not only jump and run to your heart's content, but also develop logical thinking with the help of exciting activities. For teenagers and adults, there is a huge selection of extreme rides that will take your breath away.
Primorsky Victory Park (St. Petersburg) is also famous for its landscape part, in which there are six ponds with comfortable beaches. This is the perfect place for water lovers. Swan couples living on ponds give a special romanticism to the landscape. For those who prefer a more active holiday, there areSeparate paths for cycling and rollerblading. There is the Nevsky Ring track, where various competitions are held. It is impossible not to mention the restaurant "Karl and Friedrich", located in the park. Here for children there is a special room with soft multi-colored cubes and a pool filled with balls. A nanny works in the room for the little ones. The restaurant has a brewery. In addition, there is a small zoo on its territory.
In winter, an open skating rink is open. In Victory Park, it is located on the main alley, opposite the restaurant. There is a wardrobe, skate rental, changing room. Various holidays and animated performances are held here.
