In recent years, a large number of public events, both municipal and international, have been held in the "capital of the East". Every year, due to volumetric waves of visitors, the load on the stations, ports and airport of the city increases. So, in 2013, the first student sports Universiade in the Russian Federation was held here.

Representatives of one hundred and sixty-two countries took part in it. Of course, the city authorities prepared for the arrival of the participants. Railway stations, the airport and the Central Bus Station were optimized. Kazan simultaneously hosted the participants of the cultural Universiade. Athletes and speakers were served by more than five hundred buses and more than a thousand cars.

The station is designed to serve the daily population of up to five thousand people. It carries out transportation mainly in the southeast and south directions.

Besides bus stations, Kazan has railway stations, a river port, and an airport. The railway station "Kazan passenger" is located in the center of Kazan. Some sights of the city are within walking distance from it: a magnificent embankment, the famous Sports Palace. You can also get to the Millennium Square, near which the main sights of the city are located, including the ensemble of the Kazan Kremlin protected by UNESCO.

Station "Vosstanie - Passenger" is a new railway station located near the metro station "Northern Station" on Vorovskogo Street. An additional rail junction has existed at the site since the 1960s. A modern station complex was built for the Universiade. Kazan Airport is located twenty-six kilometers from Kazan. This is the only airport in Russia thathas a quality level of "4 stars".
