A certain part of human society strives for rapprochement with nature, these people spend all their time outside the cities, in the forests, in the mountains, in the summer - on the beaches. And to be even closer to nature, men and women are completely naked. Clothing, in their opinion, is a sign of civilization that must be ignored during the holidays.
Nudist movement
The public movement that promotes nudity as a means of maximum rapprochement with nature, originated in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century and was called "nudism", from the Latin nudus - naked. There are hundreds of thousands of followers of nudism all over the world, nudists unite in interest clubs, they have special places for recreation, beaches and sports grounds. Nudism has nothing to do with exhibitionism, if among nudists someone begins to show sexual interest in others, he is asked to leave.
There are a number of nudist areas in the world, one of the most recognized and popular is the city of Cap-d'Agde with itsinfrastructure, shops, post office and police station. The resort town is located on the Mediterranean coast of France, so the nudist beaches in it are equipped to the highest standard. Staying on the beach in clothes is prohibited, at the entrance there are road-type signs with the image of shorts crossed out with a red stripe.
Who has the right to wear clothes
Only policemen wear clothes, who willingly issue fines to visitors if they do not have time to undress. The fines are small, symbolic, but the order is strictly observed. You can change, or rather, undress in one of the many booths located along the perimeter of the beach.
The history of the French center of nudism, the resort town of Cap-d'Agde, began in 1956 with the advent of the Helios Marine campsite. Tourists from all over France began to flock to the car park with after-sales service. The location of the campsite was successful in terms of further development, and when it became clear that the visitors would like to support nudus, the nature-village of Cap d'Agde arose on the site of the campsite. France is a democratic country, and over several decades the city has become a center of pilgrimage for nudists from all over Europe.
Currently, the city has more than fifty restaurants, dozens of supermarkets and four discos. One of them - "Cleopatra" - is intended for sexual meetings of lesbians.
Infrastructure
Cap d'Agde consists of several residential areas-complexes: Port Nature, Heliopolis, HelioVillage, Port Ambonne and Portsoleil. Hotel Eve is located in the center. In addition, in each residential area there are villas and apartments for seasonal residence of visitors, as they say, for every taste and budget.
There is also temporary economy class housing, Port Nature has built a long five-story complex, one end of which is on the beach, and the other is lost in city blocks. The building is divided into 8 sections with different levels of comfort. Most of the rooms are designed for three or four people, the complex has two large swimming pools, and shopping centers operate in the first and fifth sections. When issuing a residence card, guests are informed that Cap d'Agde hotels do not provide towels either for the bath or for the beach. This is the tradition of the resort town. You must bring your own towels, bring your own or buy from a nearby shop.
Complexes
The Heliopolis complex is a five-story building, built in the shape of a huge horseshoe, covering several swimming pools, tennis courts, golf courses and squares. The open part of the "horseshoe" faces the beach. Apartments in "Heliopolis" are designed for families with children, as well as groups of tourists of seven people. The complex has a special children's area with rides, swings, a trampoline and carousels. Shopping boutiques are located in the west wing of Heliopolis, where restaurants, bars and a tasting room are located.
Helio Village is a community of small single storey villas for up to 6 people. All villas have terraces, facing the sea. Here you can dine in one of the restaurants with French cuisine or have a bite to eat in the bistro. Speci alty eateries offer seafood dishes.
Port Soleil, a complex similar to HelioVillage, is built as a holiday village of one-story houses. Differs in the complete absence of automobile traffic. In the center there is a square with a supermarket and small shops. Restaurants are also located there.
Beach
Complexes of the town of Cap-d'Agde, reviews of which are the most favorable, unite a sandy beach with a length of 14 kilometers, of which two kilometers are in a purely nudist zone. Characteristically, such types of outdoor activities as parachuting in tow and diving are not popular among nudists. These two activities are excluded from the list of sports activities for nudists. But beach volleyball, badminton, water skiing, jet skis and windsurfing are in demand.
Extensive beach requires serious lifeguards. The lifeguard service has several hundred qualified swimmers and speedboats. Since 1987, all the beaches of Cap d'Agde have been awarded the Blue Flag pennant, which is awarded for a high degree of environmental cleanliness.
