At the end of the 19th century, after the completion of the Real Grandes tunnel and the launch of the first trams, the village was connected to Rio de Janeiro. And a few years later, in 1904, the construction of the embankment began, which today we know as Avenida Atlantica.
Brazil's Copacabana beach reached its peak by the middle of the last century.
