But they immediately left to defend Novorossiysk.

Next to the monument is the second lighthouse, which is also considered one of the attractions of the village. It was built at the end of the 20th century. And in 1990, a small chapel was built in it.

Big Aquarium

Each, even a small village has its own unique sights. Utrish is no exception. This village has a large aquarium. It is located on the territory of the Utrishsky reserve. The aquarium is open every day except Monday. It is filled with exhibits caught in the sea. But as soon as the season ends, all living creatures from the aquarium are released back into the sea. In the aquarium, you can see stingrays, sea dragon, igloo fish and many other types of marine life.

Dolphinarium

Reserve

The Big Utrish Reserve (there are photos of attractions in this article) is located on the Abrau Peninsula, between the villages of Sukko and Small Utrish. The reserve was formed in 1994. Its task is to preserve relic plants and landscapes. Among them are Snake Lake, Vodopadnaya and Lobanova Slits. They are listed in the Red Book.

The main we alth of the reserve is relic junipers. One hectare of these plants emits 30 kilograms of substances that kill all microbes. In total, there are three main types of junipers in the reserve: reddish, tall and foul-smelling. The scent of these junipers lingers for many years. And inhaling it cleanses the body, promotes its renewal. During excavations, ancient wood was found on the territory of the reserve. And she, as it turned out, retained her scent. Although she lay in the ground for 4 thousand years.

On the low-mountain slope, tree-like juniper is added to the vegetation, and on the inner strip - sessile oak and Caucasian hornbeam. In addition to the listed plants and trees in the reserve, you can see the Pitsunda pine and many other interesting types of vegetation.

In total, there are 117 endemic species and 16 different relics. Five species of mosses grow on the territory of the Utrish Reserve, which are not found anywhere else in Russia. And over 380 plants are listed in the Red Book.

The fauna of the reserve is unique and diverse. In Utrish, striped empusa, Mediterranean tortoise, steppe chump and Aesculapian snake were found. According to general data, there are 147 species of birds in the reserve, 71 - fish, 8 - amphibians, mammals - 44 and reptiles - 14.

Black vulture, white-tailed eagle, short-toed eagle and many others nest in Utrish. There are 94 species of insects in the Red Book. And 20 of them live on the territory of the Utrish Reserve. Moreover, 13 of them are foundexclusively in this area. You can also see rare Mediterranean butterflies in the reserve.

Big Utrish: sights of the village. Waterfall Pearl

Zhemchuzhny Waterfall is located 2.5 km from Bolshoi Utrish. It is one of the most famous in the Krasnodar Territory. The waterfall has its own peculiarity - its waters, falling on a rocky beach, create a small stream that flows into the Black Sea. The height of the fall of the jets is from 5 to 6 meters.

Pearl is not only one of the few fresh sources. At the same time, it also serves as a natural "shower". Near the Zhemchuzhny waterfall, you can stop to rest as savages. And for those who like to sunbathe naked, there is a nudist beach nearby.

At 200 meters from the waterfall every year there is an ancestral camp "Jewel". It practices childbirth in sea water. Zhemchuzhny is one of the points in the routes of the eco-trail, the length of which is 6 km. Since there are no settlements near the Vodopadny stream, from where the Pearl Falls originates, it is famous for its crystal clear water.

Other attractions

Utrish is also rich in other sights. Serpent Lake is a good example of this. It is located near the village of Bolshoi Utrish, just 800 meters away. The name of the lake was due to the large number of snakes that lived in the reservoir. Previously, the water in the reservoir was fresh, since it did not connect with the Black Sea. They were separated by an isthmus, which was later blown up. A quiet bay was formed, which received the name"Snake". Reptiles, which were very numerous in the fresh lake, eventually got used to living in lightly s alted water.

The area of the Serpent's Bay is 22.5 hectares. The maximum depth of the lake reaches eight meters. On the shores of the Serpent's Bay, disappearing relic junipers, listed in the Red Book, grow. For many years, the shores of the lake were anchorages for fishing boats. But now only sailing or motor yachts stick. Near the Serpent's Bay there is a descent to the sea and an observation deck. And right behind the lake is a pebble beach.

Tours

Excursions can be booked in Utrish. The choice is small, but each of them leaves an unforgettable impression. For example, boat trips, an excursion to Anapa. There is also a separate natural history excursion. Moreover, it is held on horseback, which in itself is already attractive.

Small Utrish: attractions and entertainment

Small Utrish is located eight kilometers from the Big. In Maly there is a yacht club in a closed bay. If desired, you can rent any boat. The nature of Small Utrish is pristine, the beaches are not crowded, and the water is transparent everywhere. There are two recreation centers. Small Utrish is part of the dendrological reserve. The village is located 12 kilometers from Novorossiysk.
