Inner Mongolia is an autonomous region of China, located in the northern part of the country. The area occupied by it is about 1.2 million km2, and the population is about 25 million people. Inner Mongolia is also the site where the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan was built. Where exactly the great commander is buried is unknown, therefore the Mausoleum is only a tomb built in honor of Genghis Khan, but not at the place of his burial. This building delights all visitors with its elegance and beauty. Pilgrims come here to honor the memory of the commander.
Inner Mongolia is not richonly endless meadows, but also majestic deserts. Tourists should definitely visit the valley of singing sands. If the weather is dry enough, then as soon as you move off the sand dune, the sound immediately appears, similar to working heavy machinery. In addition, it will be interesting to look at the sand dunes, oases, lakes hidden in the middle of the desert.
Silamuren is a summer resort not far from the capital of Inner Mongolia. Every year, the Nadam festival is held here, where the indigenous people and guests demonstrate their skills. Tourists will be delighted with national costumes and the locals' favorite drink - mare's milk.
