A visa to Turkey for Russians has ceased to be necessary if they wish to travel to this country for a short time - up to a month. That is, in the case when you intend to see the brilliant Istanbul and walk through its museums and mosques, swim on the world-famous beaches or go skiing, go to visit friends or to a business conference, you should not worry in advance. But when planning a longer visit, you will have to draw up the necessary documents. This can be done in three cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan. The consular departments of the embassy work there.
But even if you have a visa to Turkey, you still cannot stay in this country for more than three months. With several entries and exits, it should be remembered that the validity of these 90 days is within one half year. The process of crossing the border is simplified to the point of impossibility. Of course, you needpresent a valid passport to travel to another country. The rules require you to carry a hotel reservation or a travel voucher, as well as at least three hundred US dollars, although the last two items are practically not checked.
Keep in mind that even those who do not need a visa to Turkey must have a lot of space in their passport (at least one fourth of the page is empty) - then the border guards can put entry and exit stamps. Oddly enough, this is a very serious requirement: if there is no free space for stamps, you simply will not be allowed into the country. If you leave later than expected, you face a fine that you will have to pay when leaving Turkish territory. You have the right to refuse to pay, but then you will be subject to a five-year travel ban.
Not all residents of the former republics of the Soviet Union, when applying for permission to enter the country, have the same conditions as the Russians. Some are treated very loyally - for example, Georgian citizens can stay here for up to three months without a stamp in their passport. For Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Tajiks, Turkmens and Azerbaijanis, a visa to Turkey is issued for a long period of more than a month. But Armenians and Moldovans must obtain a permit for a single entry, even for a month. Ukrainians can stay in the country without a visa stamp for up to 30 days once, and up to 90 days with multiple entries.
It happens that a person comes to a country as a tourist or on business, but finds himself in circumstances where he needs to stay. For example, whennegotiations dragged on, or I wanted to visit several tourist areas at once and see everything. In such cases, a visa to Turkey can be extended on the spot for up to three months. However, such an exception is made only once a year, in the event that a tourist or a businessman makes a special application to the department for foreigners, presents documents that he has enough funds to live for that long, and pays for the permit
Different from other work visas to Turkey, which takes about two months to process.
This is a rather complicated process, because, in addition to the usual package of documents, you will need to provide the original contract with a Turkish partner or employer.
And this organization or firm is obliged, in turn, to prove to its Ministry of Labor that you are a specialist that they cannot find in Turkey.
And only in this case you will receive a work permit. And since all this requires requests, letters and other bureaucratic delays, the registration is very delayed. However, the law requires that everything be resolved within a maximum of three months.
