Chakvi (Georgia) is a small resort village near Batumi, on the sea coast of Adjara, on the way to Kobuleti. He is immersed in greenery. Even in Soviet times, this place was famous for its tea plantations. And until now, this culture continues to be grown here. No wonder Chakvi is considered the capital of Georgian tea. Chakvi received the status of an urban-type settlement in the 50s of the last century, and became a resort not so long ago. If you live in a hotel with meals, then there should be no problems where to eat. Most private houses and guesthouses provide tourists with a kitchen with utensils. And along the sea there are cafes with a good selection of dishes. There are, of course, traditional kebabs and khachapuri. But most of all, they recommend ordering grilled fish, preferably today's catch, with white wine.

Beach, entertainment

A concrete embankment has been laid along the sea. It is located in the north of the village, and it offers beautiful views of Batumi and neighboring capes. The coast at the resort is mostly pebbly. The Chakvi beach is shared with the neighboring village of Buknari. The water itself has a small edge of sand-shell rock. On the beach there are sun loungers and deck chairs, their rent is paid. This pleasure is worth - 1 or 2 lari (21-42 rubles) for the whole day. The length of the beach is about six kilometers. The length of the coast and the climate allow real "savages" who come with tents to relax. In the season there are quite a lot of them near the sea. The beaches even provide some places for camping. True, there is one problem - the railway separates the beach from the village.

The sea is clean, and even the waters of the rivers flowing into it do not make it muddy. Even though it is smallresort, vacation in Chakvi (Georgia) is unlikely to seem boring even to the most fastidious traveler. During the season, night discos and clubs open here, bars where companies sit until the morning, and some establishments invite you to billiards and bowling. Maybe there is no entertainment on such a scale in Chakvi as in Batumi. But it's not far to go to this city.

Travelers who have been here on vacation are increasingly leaving enthusiastic reviews about this greenest resort in the country. First of all, they note that a huge plus of the beach in the village is the absence of crowds of people, which are common in the Caucasus. The beach is nice, but not too clean. The exception is the beach belonging to the Oasis Hotel. It is not only cleaned every day, but the pebbles there are very small, it feels like sand. The railway near the beach is not too annoying, because the trains do not run very often. But there are no supermarkets in Chakvi. Therefore, for big purchases, you have to go to Batumi or go to local small shops. And there isn't much choice. Those who want a secluded holiday in the bosom of nature love to go here. In 2018, they promise to completely improve Chakvi, and then it will probably be one of the best resorts for a relaxing, one might say, “seal” vacation for families with children.
