The United States Embassy in Moscow is so huge that it occupies a large area between several streets. Moreover, for different requests, different buildings are provided at different addresses. Is the US embassy located on Bolshoy Devyatinsky Lane at 8 or Novinsky Boulevard, 21? What is the easiest and fastest way to get to this place?
Causes of confusion
Sometimes those who want to get to this place have a misunderstanding of exactly where to go, because the Internet shows two completely different addresses: Bolshoi Devyatinsky lane, building 8, and Novinsky Boulevard, 21. "How to get to the US Embassy" - one of the popular questions.
The fact is that in one of these buildings there is a consular department and you can get a visa, and in the other there is a trade mission. The US Embassy in Moscow occupies almost the entire block between Konyushkovskaya Street and Novinsky Boulevard. Also, from the south, the territory is limited by Bolshoi Devyatinsky Lane. This is the reason for the misunderstanding where the US Embassy is located inMoscow.
How to get to the embassy on foot
The nearest metro stations to the indicated place are Barrikadnaya (Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line) or Krasnopresnenskaya (Koltsevaya). You should move towards the Stalin skyscraper and go around it on the left side. Thus, going around the skyscraper and passing through a small square, you will get from Barrikadnaya Street to Sadovo-Kudrinskaya (part of the Garden Ring). You should move straight along the ring road for another 4-5 minutes. In total, the road, taking into account all the hitches at traffic lights, takes no more than ten minutes.
An alternative option would also be the following: move from the Krasnopresnenskaya metro station down Konyushkovskaya Street, and then turn a few hundred meters onto Bolshoy Devyatinsky Lane. At its end, Novinsky Boulevard and the building of the consular department of the US Embassy, namely house number 21, are located.
You can walk to the Embassy of the United States of America and from the Arbatskaya metro station, blue metro line (3). Then you will have to go through the entire Novy Arbat street, and then turn right and move about five more minutes towards the north.
The road from Smolenskaya (both branches) to Novinsky Boulevard, 21, to the US embassy, will be a little longer. How to get from here? You just need to move along Novinsky Boulevard to the north for 5-10 minutes. The building will be located on the left side of the road.
Novinsky Boulevard, 21 (US Embassy): how to get tocar or public transport
The fastest way to get here is by trolley bus from Barrikadnaya (or in the other direction - from Smolenskaya). Route "B" runs throughout the Garden Ring and will take you to your destination in two minutes. Bus number 64, trolleybuses 10 and 79 also go to the embassy. Necessary stop - Chaliapin's House.
How to get to the US Embassy in Moscow by car if you are coming from the Moscow Ring Road? The road in this case will take 15 kilometers. From the ring road, you need to turn onto Kutuzovsky Prospekt, move along Novy Arbat, and then turn onto the necessary Novinsky Boulevard. Without traffic jams, this is no more than a quarter of an hour. From the Third Transport Ring, it is also most convenient to move along Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
