"Notice to Mariners" is a periodical official publication with a frequency of 48 issues per year, which notifies the command at sea about the navigational situation and its changes, about the navigation regime.

Notice to sailors, first of all, is intended to notify the command of the ship, which is at sea for a long time or crosses the waters of other states, about changes in navigation, for correcting charts and navigation aids. The totality of such knowledge helps the ship's management to follow the set course, while not violating the laws and choosing the shortest possible routes.

Requires accuracy, correctness and timeliness of a publication such as "Notice to Mariners". The Department of Defense carefully controls each issue. They are published weekly, on Saturdays, each is assigned a serial number. There are up to 200 independent issues. Each issue includes a list of maps, guides and manuals, the latest changes.
