Many roads converge in Novosibirsk: motor transport, navigable and railway. During peak hours, the congestion of two road bridges in the central districts of the city is colossal. It is possible to stand for several hours without having a traffic accident. If the latter happened, then even longer.
In such a large metropolis, there are quite a few through roads. And those that are, with an abundance of intersections with traffic lights, tram, railway or one-way traffic. All this makes it difficult to travel and complicates the traffic situation with a large number of cars, allows them to accumulate and create huge traffic jams. Therefore, the construction of the Bugrinsky bridge was a necessity that had been brewing for quite some time.
Bridges of Novosibirsk
Bugrinsky is called the third bridge in Novosibirsk, but why will forever remain a mystery. There are actually many more bridges.
- North Bridge is a bypass new highway. It originates near the village of Prokudskoye and stretches to the village of Sokur. In combination it hasbridge over the Ob and connects public highways M-51 and M-53.
- Communal, or, as it is also called, October Bridge, united two districts of the city from different banks. From the left bank - Leninsky, Oktyabrsky - from the right. The first traffic on the bridge began in the autumn of 1955. At that time, there was a tram line and a highway. At the moment, the bridge is intended only for cars and those who like to admire the sunset. There are also walking slopes to the beach and the park.
- Metro Bridge is the nearest neighbor of Oktyabrsky Bridge. They run parallel to each other. It is the only covered railway bridge of this length in the world. Merged metro lines on the left bank "Studencheskaya", on the right - "River Station".
- The hydropower bridge passes through the shipping channels of the lock.
- Dimitrovsky Bridge - a later construction, united the Dimitrov Avenue of the same name from the right bank with Energetikov Avenue from the left bank.
- Bugrinsky - the youngest bridge of all. The traffic scheme on the Bugrinsky bridge connects the Kirovsky and Oktyabrsky districts.
- Neighbor of the Dimitrovsky bridge - Zheleznodorozhny. The oldest and very first on the Trans-Siberian Railway across the Ob River, erected at the end of the 19th century in Novo-Nikolaevsk. Now these are tracks for electric trains, freight trains and passenger rail transportation.
- The second railway bridge, or Komsomolsky, is also located in the system of the Trans-Siberian Railway across the Ob. Built at the beginning of the 20th century.
The uniqueness of the project
Bugrinsky bridge - the route from Bolshevistskaya street to Vatutina street. In fact, this is only a small round in the global construction of the South-West transit, which is being designed and implemented at the present time. During the construction of the bridge, it was not without reason that the choice fell on an arched structure, because the town planning council considered several projects.
Given geographical and geological factors: the Ob River bed, groundwater, nearby surfaces, the choice fell on a girder bridge with ceilings in the navigable part of the cable-stayed structure.
There is no such bridge anywhere else. Since the Ob River is navigable, it was taken into account, first of all, the fact that two ships could pass under the bridge. And this was successfully done, even there was still room both in height and in width.
As an architectural find, the cable-stayed structure fit perfectly here. It allows suspended ceilings to be located above the surface they hold. This is its main advantage and the most important distinguishing feature.
In this case, the length of the suspended navigable ceiling is 380 meters. it is by far the longest suspended structure in Russia. It has a mesh arch and an observation deck.
The traffic pattern on the Bugrinsky bridge involves the passage of cars, and lovers of long walks can see the local beauties, breathe in the gas pollution of the city. This type of arch, resembling a curved bow in its shape, is often used in the symbolism of otherbuilding structures of the city, for example, you can see it in the famous opera house.
Interchange along Vatutina street
The Bugrinsky bridge traffic scheme will connect the left bank of Novosibirsk with the bridge with four ramps. The traffic on the bridge is designed as a "cloverleaf" and has one directional exit. A pedestrian bridge has been built for vacationers, so that from Vatutina Street from the ski base you can get to the snowy slopes of Bugrinskaya Grove.
Vatutina Street has three traffic lanes in each direction, the extreme right lane is used to enter the bridge, which will not affect traffic in any way and will not complicate it. We should say special thanks to the designers for the careful preservation of the forest. A neat cutting was made along the site, the areas of garden societies located nearby were not affected. A detailed project has been worked out and a competent scheme of traffic along the Bugrinsky bridge has been developed, taking into account detailed photo and video filming of the forest, which made it possible to preserve the green strip as much as possible.
After the completion of construction, one can observe how the trees were demolished in a flat strip for several tens of meters from Vatutina Street. The cut down trees were compensated by planting new seedlings in the Kirovsky district near the adjacent bridge area. A special budget was allocated for these purposes, three were planted for one ruined tree.
Decoupling on Bolshevikskaya
Bolshevistskaya Street near the bridge has changed. The roadway has been significantly widened for traffic capacity.highways. Traffic on the Bugrinsky bridge provides for an exit to the bridge and exit from it from the extreme right lane. There are sidewalks and several bus stations on both sides of the road.
Further plans
Governor of the Novosibirsk region Vladimir Gorodetsky, after cutting the red ribbon of the Bugrinsky bridge, enthusiastically announced further plans for the construction of large-scale highways in the city. The very first and most important, he noted that it was necessary to build another bridge across the Ob River. Quite active traffic today falls on the road of the Chuisky tract, passing through Novosibirsk and its nearby points, such as Iskitim and Berdsk. The passability of this section of the road reaches about 50 thousand cars per day. The situation is further complicated by the fact that many citizens live within these areas and go to work in the city daily and return back in the evening.
The construction of this bypass will significantly relieve the traffic from the city to Leninsk-Kuznetsky to the interchange with Koltsovo and Akademgorodok.
South-Western transit plans to connect the Chuisky tract and the territory of Novosibirsk from the side of the Kirovsky district, connecting the M-51 and M-52 highways. The beginning will be the connection of the Tolmachesky and Ordynsky directions, it will end on the Eastern bypass, smoothly turning into the Gusinobrodskoye highway.
Bugrinsky bridge will be included in the South-Western transit system. Here it is planned to make a wide motorway of threestripes on each side. Also, the task is to create such a movement along the interchanges of the Bugrinsky bridge, which will allow you to move around the four districts of the city, cross the Ob on the bridge. This direction will become the longest road in the Novosibirsk region.
The next bridge is planned to be built near the embankment of the right bank. It will unite Ippodromskaya Street with Truda Square. The authorities plan to make the passage on this bridge paid. Whether Novosibirsk is ready for such a decision, time will tell.
